I like to describe our house as the smallest house in Comares in the most beautiful square in Comares (Plaza de los Verdiales). Imagine sitting on its terrace looking at the image of a unique, beautiful and well-kept town square. A simple village house, with personality, decorated to make you feel comfortable and happy. It is divided into three floors (note, there is no elevator in a traditional village house) the last is a roof terrace where you can see the mountains beyond the village.

The space
The paintings are painted by my father, who found great enjoyment in painting after his retirement.

I have restored or painted the furniture myself, as I go to restoration classes and love to give a new life to unique pieces.

We have had the help of our photographer friend Amanda Watt to create many of the beautiful corners in this house. His creative drive has been essential.

Comares is one of the villages that usually appears in the rankings of the most beautiful villages in Malaga. A very well-kept white village with a gastronomic offer inside and outside the village.

Guest access
The house is divided into three floors (remember, there is no elevator):
-In the first one you will find the small living room, the bathroom and what was the kitchen that is now used for storage.
-In the second is the bedroom and a small work area with a desk.
-On the terrace we have set up a kitchen area and you can enjoy the views from the roof.

In Andalusian villages, traditional houses do not have central heating. It has been like this all my life and it still is today. Historically, we have warmed ourselves with braziers, stoves or heaters, and it is common to be at home with a good sweater, a fleece, a robe... this is how I myself have lived the winters at my grandmother's house, gathered around the table with a brazier underneath.

We have installed heaters in the house to make your stay as comfortable as possible. However, as it is a traditional construction, the electrical installation is limited, as is the case in many townhouses. Therefore, it is important to make conscious use of heaters and avoid having several high-consumption appliances running at the same time.

Those who stay here come to an authentic village house, with its peculiarities and also with its charm, it is important to be aware of this before choosing us, especially in winter and on wet days.

Other things to note
Here I'll tell you about the peculiarities of Comares and the house that may be important to you, so please read carefully.

A car is convenient to get to Comares. I've had guests who rented electric bikes in Malaga and pedaled here (and they loved it!).

There is only one daily bus from Monday to Friday from Malaga (at 1:00 PM) and from Comares to Malaga (at 7:00 AM). It takes 1 hour and 35 minutes and costs about €5.

There is no TV. Take advantage of your stay to really disconnect, have good conversations, read or just enjoy village life.
In the past, people were shorter and in our house, to move from one room to another you often have to duck your head because the door frame is low. The rest of the house has a normal height, except for the bathroom, which has a height of 1.77 cm.
For winter, the house has several stoves.

The house has 1 Gb high-speed and symmetrical fiber optic internet, which offers the same download and upload capacity (ideal for activities such as streaming, online video games and video calls).
