Relax in this beautiful master suite w private deck & en-suite bath, overlooking lovely grounds, flowering bushes, walking paths, and peak-a-boo ocean views. Enjoy the 1940's coastal cottage charm, with many modern updates. 5 minutes from Bar Harbor & Acadia National Park, Half Moon is central to everything on Mount Desert Island. The LR and sun room are spectacular for breakfast or late afternoon drinks. Enjoy several sitting areas inside and out. You will absolutely love this setting.

You will enjoy the Master Suite, Private Bath & Private Deck with California King bed. This is a new home for us and we have renovated and decorated extensively for our guests' benefit. Guests can enjoy the common areas, Living Room, Sun Room, Dining areas, Outdoor walking and sitting areas. Hosts are super flexible and welcome conversation and interaction. This a beautiful home with lovely common areas for guests' enjoyment.

During your stay
Once guests book and communication is established between hosts and guests, we are very accessible. Please feel free to send your cell phone number and we can text and/or communicate. Check in is 4 pm and check out is 10 am so that cleaning can occur. Please inform hosts of an ETA. Thank you and we look forward to making your stay here on the island wonderful.

Other things to note
THalf Moon Inn is 2 minutes from the entrance to Acadia National Park and central to many things on the island. Our guests have loved the location.
There are many things to do close by, like fantastic hiking, biking, kayaking, boating, galleries (local Maine artists are actually quite wonderful and we have some renowned artists on the island, like Richard Estes), shopping, and exploring.

Our grounds have walking trails and some stone steps with no hand rails. Please be careful. You are very close and/or within walking distance of restaurants and 5 minutes from Bar Harbor Village. Enjoy the rural setting with close proximity to shops and restaurants.

We offer a buffet style breakfast daily in the sun room.
