Aloha and welcome to Hale Kawehi BnB Guesthouse, one mile from Town. This is a H0STED, VINTAGE, well-curated, spacious eclectic mixture of historical Hawaiian artifacts. Polynesian ambiance, very open and airy. Built in 1930’s, it features many original fixtures, wrap around decking, and curated with many worldly and Hawaiian collections for guests to enjoy. Hilo has coqui frogs that chirp at night ! They are part of our tropical environment. Earplugs provided to guests. Also mosquitoes and gecko frogs. Keep screened doors closed. 24 hour exterior video surveillance of street area, with signs posted on fence.

Hale Kawehi is located in downtown area in a very nice, quiet and safe neighborhood, 15 minute walking distance to the downtown area with lots of restaurants. Lots of people walking, riding their bikes, enjoying the broad sidewalks. It is close to Imiloa, University of Hawaii, police, fire, hospital, post office, Hilo Municipal Golf Course, airport, and just a great launch to all attractions. The Hawaii sales and hotel taxes of 17.96 percent are included in rate. It's a bargain.
