Beautiful area

Guests love this home’s scenic location.
A wall of glass provides panoramic views of the iconic Smith Rock formation, creating a seamless connection between the indoor and outdoors. A sleek and sophisticated modern home perched on the rimrock and flooded with sunshine. King beds and a luxurious bathroom with steam shower. Includes Smith Rock Pass.

*No parties or pets* (including support animals) please - this is a 'pet-free' home for guests with allergies. Trip insurance recommended if illness, weather or smoke may be an issue.

The space
You will be welcomed into the bright living room with a cozy fireplace that flows into the back patio with views that might take your breath away a little. The view extends into the primary bedroom. The property includes five acres of rural land that you are welcome to explore. Note that there is a detached shop about 140' from the house that is accessed by our business partner.

Guest access
The entire home is available to the guest and is not shared with anyone. The shop (100' up the driveway) is accessed occasionally (during business/working hours) by us or our business partners.

Other things to note
Please note the well-water is very hard. While the minerals are great for your bones, it does have a very subtle salty taste and is slightly whitish colored. It has been tested and is verified clean and healthy. Also, importantly, we require guests who use the steam-shower (sauna) to squeegee the glass after use, otherwise the mineral buildup is very difficult to remove.

Note that dogs are not allowed, including Emotional Support Animals, which are not recognized as service animals in the state of Oregon. If you are bringing a service animal, we would appreciate if you would describe what duties or work it has been trained to perform, and if it is required because of a disability.

Wildfire smoke is a significant risk in the mid-summer to late fall in the PNW, especially east of the Cascades. Please note that both Airbnb (and by extension, us as hosts) can not predict or control the weather or the smoke, and neither of these are considered grounds for exceptions to the refund policy. If you want a more flexible cancellation policy due to air quality/smoke, we recommend purchasing travel insurance through Airbnb, which is offered to you during the booking process. If your time in Bend is impacted by smoke, we are happy to help you make the best of it—there are often times of day or parts of the surrounding area that are far less smoky than others. We live here and understand the challenge.

Two friendly outdoor-enthusiasts who love their two kids, the outdoors, coffee, chocolate, and time in the kitchen. We met through a shared love of travel and adventure. Now that we have put down roots and have a family, we want to provide the kind of warm hospitality we experienced in so many places around the world. We were both born in the Pacific Northwest and spent our first three years together living in Jakarta, Indonesia. Ryan enjoys mountain biking, snowboarding, roasting coffee, surfing and all things nerdy. Katie likes yoga, reading, trail running and creativity in the kitchen. We feel fortunate to have absurdly easy access to nature and endless ways to enjoy it. We also appreciate that kind and thoughtful neighbors surround us. We are delighted to share our space and hope you enjoy every minute. Warmly, Ryan & Katie Lenz
