Welcome to Remedy Cottage, a place that holds deep sentimental significance for our family. It is a split foyer, two levels with steps leading in each direction from the foyer. It was built in 1978, every inch was renovated in 2022, featuring a brand new kitchen appliances. The interior boasts a modern farmhouse and minimalist design. This location is ideal for visitors to the nation's capital, the NSA, Andrews Air Force Base, and a short driving distance to three major airports in the area.
The space
The house is a two-story split foyer design, which means you’ll need to go up or down 4–5 steps upon entry to access either level. However, once you're on either floor, there are no additional steps between the bedrooms and bathrooms.
The house may not be suitable for a person who cannot navigate stairs or handicapped.
There are a total of 5 bedrooms in this house designed for 8 persons to sleep comfortably.
Upstairs, you'll find 3 of these bedrooms, with the kitchen, dining and living room designed as an open space plan.
The master bedroom features a queen-sized bed, as well as his and her closets. It also has an attached bathroom with standing shower for added convenience.
Additionally, there are 2 more bedrooms upstairs, each equipped with a full-sized bed and built-in closets. These bedrooms share a bathroom with a bathtub, which is situated in the hallway.
Downstairs, you'll discover 2 additional bedrooms, an entertainment room, and the laundry area. Both of these downstairs bedrooms come with spacious built-in closets. One of them includes a queen-sized bed, while the other is furnished with two twin beds. They share a full bathroom with a standing shower.
In addition, this property is not child-friendly, as there are stairs and no childproofing measures in place.
Therefore, the host cannot be held responsible for any injuries that may occur due to any kind of accident in the premises.
We have regular pest control treatments for the house.
Cameras are installed around the exterior of the house for security purposes.
Guest access
Guests will have access to the entire house including backyard with the exception of the Remedy office room, located off the laundry room, and the garage, which are off-limits. Trespassing in these areas is considered a breach of contract.
We reserve the right side of the driveway for our work truck. Please park your vehicle in the spot closer to the walkway on the left side. There is still enough space for two cars to fit in the driveway, along with at least two additional parking spots available free of charge on the roadside in front of the property. Please let us know if these spots are not available.
Other things to note
Twelve 8 oz. bottles of complimentary water are provided in the refrigerator for you to quench your thirst upon arrival.
Check-in time is 4 p.m. and check-out time is 11 a.m.
Quiet time is 10 p.m. to 5 a.m.
We provide linens, towels, blankets, and toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, body wash, toilet paper, hand soap, and hand lotion) only.
For self-service American breakfast items such as coffee, tea, sugar, coffeemate, oat meal, pancake mix, syrup etc. are available.
Feel free to help yourself to anything in the kitchen area, including the spice rack, freezer, and refrigerator.
Bassinet and gas grill are available upon request. Propane gas is NOT provided.
We do not provide cleaning service during your stay.
Maximum guests allowed to stay (overnight) is 8. Please contact us if you plan to have extra guests.
For the security of the property and our guests, we have installed cameras around the exterior of the property.
In case of an emergency, our next door neighbor is a state trooper.
