About this listing
The sunny 120 sqm apartment with a balkony is located in "Bötzow Kiez" in Berlin Prenzlauer Berg. The 5-room flat is in an old buildung from 1900 with stucco in the third floor, 5 walking minutes away from a tube/tram-Station to Alexanderplatz.
WIFI, fully equipped kitchen (I love to cook) a Bath with a tub, 10 minutes to Hackescher Markt. Lots of Shops, Cafes, Bars and Design Stores around.
The apartment has two big living rooms with high ceilings, a kitchen, a bathroom, wooden floor, two sleeping rooms, a dressing room and a balkony. The decor is modern. The apartment has been renovated with attention to details. You have sun on the balcony and in the main rooms from early morning up to 3 pm. The street is really quiet and so are the neighbours.
Your room is seperated with two doors from the living room and has a double bed. You can use the rest of the apartment as well as I do.
I can support you with free wifi, a hairdryer, a washing machine, dishwasher, TV on request, bed linen and towels.
Cafés, bars, restaurants and nice design shops and a park around, create a day and nightlife atmosphere unrivalled in the rest of Berlin. Along with Schöneberg and Mitte, Prenzlauer Berg is a focal point of the Berlin art and design scene.
Lots of artists, designers and actors are living in the neighbourhood.
It is one of the most popular districts in East-Berlin and is one of Berlin's prettiest neighbourhoods, still central, yet more quiet than Berlin Mitte.
Prenzlauer Berg has the largest synagogue in Germany on Rykestraße and is the biggest area in europe with old stukko buildings from the Wilhelminian time.
I am a design loving foodie, who knows the Berlin scene quite well.
If you like, I will support you with a list of up to date recommendations for dining, partying and sightseeing in the city.
Thanks a lot.
Looking forward to welcome you
I am a friendly guy, highly respectful of other people's privacy and personal space. So I am expecting the same from my guests.
Entertaining is an art and Sören has mastered it. I contacted Sören after a previous host had not gotten back to me re my stay. Even though it was short notice, Sören got back to me right away and communication was smooth and clear. His home is clean, comfortable, in the best area, AND a design junkie's paradise! Gorgeous! My best friend Kerstin and I will definitely stay with him again in a heart beat. Sören is an amazing cook as well. Thank you for showing us a wonderful time. You most definitely have the BEST table in Berlin and the WARMEST home! Don't every change! Hugs, Ancie & Kerstin.
Sören is a great host, helpful and easygoing. His place is really cool, tidy, clean (exactly as shown in pics) and, above all, extremelly well located (the best neighborhood in Berlin from my viewpoint). There are many cafes, restaurants, shops, markets and parks around. Also well connected thru public transport. I strongly recommend Sören's place.
Soren has proven to be the good host other visitors have written about. We stayed only for one night in his lovely and spacey apartment and unfortunately he wasn't able to welcome us in person but we (accidently) met him in one of the bars he recommended! We can recommend his place to people who want to experience a real Berlin atmosphere.
Sören's home is even more amazing than the photo. Excellent taste and lots of details, i could spend while day in the room and wont get bored. Also Sören managed to accommodate us under the circumstances that our flight was rescheduled last minute due to bad weather. Not to mention the 13 pages PDF of city guide.
The place was central, absolutely beautiful and extremely cosy. Sören was such an amazing host. He was extremely helpful with advice for different hot spots and tourist attractions. I would definitely stay again and recommend him to all of my friends who decide to travel to Berlin.
It was really really a great staying with Sören! He has a full filled list of recommendations about food, wine, art, walk. It's just all my types of thing I'd like to explore. The ice cream shop in the list is one of the best thing we did in Berlin. You should contact him now to get the name. Ahah. Also we like to see a show, but it's already impossible to get tickets. But he tried with his connections to see if there is some other chance.
Berlin is our last stop of our little tour. It's the perfect ending because of him. I'd like to say it one more time. I wish we had more time together. And even wanna just stay in the house to explore all the books and DVDs. And the nice kitchen. If I'll go again. I won't hesitate to contact him.
Sören was the most incredible host! He went above and beyond to make me feel welcome. The room had all the basics: an adaptor, a hair blowdryer, really cool guidebooks, a place to hang things and even spa water in a designer vessel. I loved the pdf guide he put together and sent to me in advance that highlighted many things in the area a normal tourist would never find. So many gems! The location is fabulous. Super easy to get everywhere I needed to go and just a couple blocks from great shops and restaurants. His home is even more beautiful in person than it is in the photos. The bed was super comfortable.
