Midnight Hollow is a modern cabin situated in the picturesque foothills of Mt. Hood Nat. Forest, 20 minutes to the slopes and 1 hour from Portland. Tucked away in a quiet hollow, this mountain cabin amplifies the soothing sounds of the nearby Sandy River as they echo through an old growth forest. The hollow's unique geography provides half an acre of private forest, river access, and views of the Cascade Mountains.

The space
Midnight Hollow is a custom-built cabin, completed in 2023. Natural light pours through large windows that allows you to feel closer to nature, while enjoying all the amenities of a modern cabin. Midnight Hollow provides views of old growth forest, Huckleberry Mountain, trails to the Sandy River and soothing river sounds.
LIVING ROOM
The cabin living room has a floor-to-ceiling wall of windows that overlooks the old growth forest, providing the perfect place to relax after a day of exploring or hitting the slopes. A 120" retractable projector screen, wireless sound bar, and a wood burning stove. Open the large, screened, sliding doors to the deck and let the calming river sounds surround you.
DECKS
Midnight Hollow has a large deck off the back of the cabin and a floating balcony deck accessible off the second-floor nook. Open the large sliding glass doors to access the main floor deck, propane fire pit and recessed hot tub.
BEDROOMS
The cabin has three bedrooms that comfortably sleeps four people. Two bedrooms are located upstairs, each with a Queen size Tempur-Pedic, memory-foam mattress. The third bedroom is located on the first floor and features a twin size mattress - this bed is recommended for children. All rooms have privacy blinds. The larger, second-floor bedroom has blackout blinds for additional comfortable sleeping and offers a beautiful view of Huckleberry Mountain. Large, spacious windows in each bedroom provide scenic forest views.
DEDICATED WORK SPACE
The downstairs bedroom functions as an office. You'll find a desk, ethernet port, doors for privacy and speedy dependable Wi-Fi to make your remote working day a bit easier.
KITCHEN
The kitchen provides you with everything you’ll need including large table for dining, Cafe Appliances, Fellow electric kettle and Moccamaster coffee maker. Also on hand are basic spices, Graza olive oil, honey, Smith Teamaker teas and Roseline coffee.
BATHROOM
The cabin has one first-floor luxury bathroom featuring heated floors and a spacious, standing rain shower. Hair dryer, organic towels, body wash, shampoo and conditioner are provided for guests’ convenience. NOOK
The upstairs has a welcoming sitting area for two, perfect for bird watching or sipping a drink under the portraits of Lewis and Clark.
HEAT/ COOLING
Thermostat-controlled electric wall heaters in the two upstairs bedrooms will keep you comfortable during the cooler months. The mini split unit in the main cabin living area provides heat as well as air conditioning designed for our guest’s comfort all year long. *A/C not available in bedrooms.
HOT TUB
Brand new recessed Nordic hot tub with seating for 4. Soak while enjoying forest views right off the deck. Cleaned after every checkout by a spa professional.
INFRARED SAUNA
Brand new 2-person SunHome cedar lined infrared sauna. Integrate heat therapy into your stay with our Full-Spectrum Infrared Sauna. It combines near, mid, and far wavelengths for deeper detoxification, improved circulation, and muscle recovery. Unlike traditional saunas, it heats the body directly rather than the air, providing therapeutic benefits at lower, more comfortable temperatures.

Please read through the following information to make sure Midnight Hollow is the right cabin for you. The person booking the cabin agrees to these terms and is required to share this information with all people in the reservation. Please see additional information under policies and rules.
*Midnight Hollow is our family cabin that we visit frequently. We expect our guests to be respectful of the space and our belongings. The person booking is responsible for any damages during the stay.
*No extra guests, no visitors. The host is expecting the number of people listed on your reservation. Guests may not bring any visitors to the cabin or property, for any length of time. Only those individuals who are registered guests may enter the cabin and property.
*A maximum of 4 people, including children and infants, are welcome to rent the cabin.
*We have a strict no pet policy due to family allergies, thank you for understanding.
*No recreational gear in the cabin at any time.
* No smoking, vaping or e-cigarettes. Our cabin is a smoke free environment. Should you choose to smoke outside, we request that you do so away from the cabin and clean up after yourself.
*NO parties or events at the cabin or on the property. Elopements can be arranged with hosts.
*No commercial, promotional or personal photo shoots or filming in the cabin or on the property. If you would to have any type of photo shoot or film work, it must be requested and approved by hosts prior to your arrival.
*The person booking the space must be present the entire reservation - at check-in and checkout. No transferring of cabin reservations, third party bookings and no subleasing allowed.
*There are two parking spaces available in the driveway. Please do not park in other places on the property or neighborhood.
*We are located on .66 acres of old growth forest and a riverbank. Exploring is encouraged but caution is advised. Guests must respect the land and vegetation by staying on marked paths around the cabin and property.
*The cabin has a wood burning stove, outdoor fire pit, second story windows, recessed hot tub with no fence/barrier, sauna, electric wall heaters, balcony, cable railings and a first floor back deck with no railings - All of which poses safety risks especially for young and/or unattended children. When accepting this booking the entire party accepts these risks and responsibilities.
*We have two ring cameras on the property. One is located at the front door and the other is at the back door.
*The cabin has a very sensitive septic system! Do not flush anything other than toilet paper in the toilet. No food scraps, cooking oils or coffee grounds down kitchen sink.
*Guests cannot move the projector or connect additional wiring during their stay.
*The cabin is located in a rural neighborhood. Please be mindful of our neighbors and their property. Quiet hours are 10 P.M. - 8 A.M.
*Our cabin is located off a gravel road. We recommend AWD when accessing the property in snowy or icy conditions.
*Respect wildlife in the area. Bears, cougars, coyotes and eagles have been spotted at the cabin. Do not leave any food outside during your stay.
*In summer/dry months a burn ban is issued to protect the national forest. Wood stove is not to be used and no firewood will be supplied. Guests are required to comply - no fires, fireworks, or open flame of any kind are permitted. If the burn ban is violated at the cabin or on its premises, guests will be asked to leave the cabin immediately without negotiation or compensation.
*Due to our location being in the foothills of Mt. Hood National Forest, power outages can occur from high winds, snow and heat. These outages impact not only electricity but also water at the cabin. Outages are typically short.
*Guests do not have access to our house keeper closets (behind living room chair + above bedroom closet), wood sheds, and our well house.
