Welcome to our retreat! We’re delighted to have you as our guest and want your stay to be as relaxing and enjoyable as possible. Here’s everything you need to know to make the most of your time here.

As our guest, you’ll have full access to the entire home, providing plenty of space to unwind and enjoy. Please note, however, that the owner's closet, located off the laundry room, will be locked and is not accessible during your stay.

Feel free to explore the front and side yards, where you can immerse yourself in the natural beauty of the surroundings. To maintain a peaceful experience for everyone, we kindly request that the backyard behind the cottage remain exclusively for the use of our cottage guests.

For quiet walks or reflective moments, the breezeway between the cottage and the Big House serves as a shared communal space. To respect the privacy of all guests, we ask that time spent in the breezeway is kept brief and quiet hours are observed.

When arriving or leaving, please use the front door for entry and exit. Parking is conveniently located down the drive and to the left, next to the barn. The two parking spaces directly in front of the cottage, under the rose arbor, are reserved specifically for cottage guests. To ensure everyone’s convenience, please leave these spaces unblocked during your stay.

Embrace the convenience of our central location and make the most of your stay by immersing yourself in the wonders that surround us.

Once you settle in, you might want to head to the grocery store to grab a few of your favorites. Right around the corner is the WD, a perfect corner shop that has all the essentials for a quick stop. If you want more of a grocery store, we recommend heading to Haagen’s in Burlington. They have beautiful produce, a great wine selection and a wider selection for those staying a bit longer.
During your stay, we recommend making a stop at the Corner Pub, our next door neighbor. Not rowdy, the perfect spot for a good time and an even better burger, the Corner Pub hosts live music for all ages, outdoor seating, and the best brews in town..

House Kinlands is centrally located to visit all the fresh farmers markets, bird viewing, flower farms, the Puget Sound, and the San Juan Islands. An ideal location to access all things within a 20 minute drive.
