Set on right on the famous Great Ocean Road (front row) within a short flat stroll from Lorne's main strip, this perfectly located beachfront townhouse has commanding ocean and pier views.
Surrounded by glass, the open-plan living/dining/kitchen area leads onto an expansive deck that captures a stunning outlook from the pier to Airey Inlet Lighthouse - on a clear day we can see Mount Martha. Gaze at the whales in the Bay, frockling with their calves, if you're lucky.
Watch as the native birdlife land on your balcony looking in to see if you're around, these beautiful birds are colourful, friendly and tame. Notice the odd kookaburra in nearby trees or perched on a wire. Australian wildlife at it's best, flanked by the stunning ocean yonder.
This property offers ultimate privacy, first class location with outstanding views. 2 Bedrooms, one bathroom, separate toilet and laundry. Wake up to the most brilliant sunrise over the Bay and go to sleep listening to the sound of the waves. Every room in the house captures an ocean view, except the bathroom and laundry!!

Lorraine was fast and friendly to deal with. Townhouse had a nice feel with great views, it was quiet, simple and comfortable. For anyone complaining about the short steep driveway and lovely 10min walk into town, wow, you need to get out more! The only thing that affects the feel is the multitude of instructions everywhere and the lack of some basics.
thanks for your valuable comments, Simon.
We leave succinct instructions to make the place user friendly and for the on-going comfort of guests. I appreciate your understanding ..... glad to hear that you had liked the townhouse, Peter and I wish thank you for leaving it in good order - Cheers, Lorraine
Fantastic apartment in a perfect location. Will definitely rent again next time I'm in Lorne.
EXPERIENCE: The view from these apartments is breathtaking, and the apartment is arranged so that you can always see it (even from the master bedroom!). Nothing else matters but this, really.
SPACE: The unit itself is functional, with a great-sized kitchen - though a good knife makes a big difference, recommend you take your own if planning to cook as it's a typical sparsely-kitted out holiday unit type of kitchen stocked with a somewhat random assortment of cheap single items; bring oil/butter, salt/pepper too. Similarly minimalist to non-existent provisions for the shower situation, which is also fine, just pack your toiletries. The master bed is big and wonderfully comfortable. It's not a "little touches" chocolates-on-the-pillows-and-name-brand-hand-wash type of deal. It's not someone's home; it's a holiday unit in a lovely, small, sleepy southern beach town. All in all, we disagreed with other critics that the slightly basic setting diminished the experience; on the contrary, we found it made the building recede and allowed us to focus on finishing some work (ssh! amazing office!); the incredible landscape, and each other. Which is what you want, really.
HOSTS: We talked to both Peter and Lorraine and found them highly responsive and meticulous in their approach. It is always a pleasure to do business with AirBNB hosts as organised and prepared as they are as it makes the process so much easier.
If you are looking for a holiday home in Lorne, they are superior hosts, and it's definitely a superior property you can make some amazing memories in.
Our family enjoyed our stay in Lorraine's apartment. She was very helpful arranging our last minute stay and very kind to let us check out late. The proximity to the beach across the road was excellent. This apartment suits a young family like ours because the two bedrooms are side by side. It's around a 2km walk into town which would be lovely along the beach, but it was a bit further than my kids little legs could manage. The apartment is older in style but has been thoughtfully freshened up. We had a very comfortable stay for a weekend here.
Lorraine was very helpful from the start. The view is amazing and the house is nice and cosy. Thanks for the enjoyable weekend.
Great ocean views and location. Easy 15 minute walk into Lorne town centre along a footpath.
Comfortable accommodation. The driveway is daunting. Views are lovely. The rooftop of the unit in front is a shame but does not hide view.

Having moved into this well-located, hidden gem on Richmond Hill some 15 months ago and after a knock-out stay in Honolulu (airbnb) earlier, I've decided to give hosting a shot.
I am well-travelled with a thirst for people/places/the unknown. Retired from the corporate world within the sales and marketing/advertising arena, I now prefer managing a handful of investment properties, but mostly spend my time between the beach (Lorne, Victoria - properties listed on airbnb) and frequent overseas holidays.
Enjoy the arts, retro furniture/jewellery/couture/architecture. Avid enthusiast of all things vintage. My indulgence is searching interesting haunts, hoping to stumble across the unique/the unusual. When in town, often seen bidding at weekly in-house auctions - not forgetting "street theatre" with Melbourne Real Estate, the auction capital of the world!!
Delight in making people feel comfortable, at home with everything at their fingertips. Love to eat, cook and entertain ......
