  • Deborah and her place are incredible. It's our second time renting it for about a week. We couldn't ask for anything more beautiful and perfect. Highly recommended. Incredible location, hostess, home, amenities, etc.

  • My first Airb&b experience, and I may not be able to top it. The house was incredible--such wonderful art, and fully stocked with what you'd need. We loved the location and didn't find it as loud as we feared from previous reviews (didn't experience Sat. night there though). Deborah was gracious and helpful. Would definitely try to stay here on future visits (and spend longer next time, I hope)!

  • This house is amazing! 6 of us stayed for a conference and we could not have had a better home base. The house is huge, has everything you need and she is a fantastic host. The location is perfect, frenchmen street was our favorite hang out. It is also only 30 min walk to central business district and 15 to the heart of the French quarter where we walked every evening for dinner etc. I never felt unsafe and walked alone at night a few times. Highly recommend this place!

  • So my only complaint would be that Deborah posts better pics of the place, because my friends and I had no idea we were going to be staying in A MANSION?!

Deborah was extremely accommodating and made this my most enjoyable airbnb experience to date! Definitely looking forward to staying here again on my next trip back to NOLA.

  • We came to New Orleans for a long weekend with a group of 3 couples. Meeting Deborah and staying in her beautiful home was an absolute pleasure. The house is gorgeous and the surroundings relaxing- especially sitting in the courtyard in between meals and walks. The rooms are all beautiful and very comfortable. The house is perfectly located in walking distance to restaurants, bars, shops and music venues in the French Quarter, Marigny and Bywater. One of the best air b'n b experiences I've ever had- I'm not sure I want to stay anywhere else when I come to New Orleans now!

  • We had a fabulous time at the Fab Frenchman. The house had plenty of room for all of us to hang out during the day and evenings, and the architecture, art work, natural light, and proximity to the neighborhood and French Quarter made it a comfortable and convenient stay. We would love to stay again!

  • All of the positive comments that have already been left are all true, and exactly what I would say. If you're looking for a location that isn't the French Quarter, but is still very central and lively, and if you want a really impressive place to stay in, with a beautiful garden, eclectic decor throughout, great rooms, comfortable beds, a balcony on the master suite, well then...book this place. Nothing could have been better and Deborah was perfect. The place was very clean, also important. If I could live here, I would, and you'll feel that way too.

  • This is one great spot for anyone you wants a perfect location to enjoy the heart of NOLA. Deborah's "gallery" (aka home) really tops the charts. We were still realizing our surroundings on day 5, and I'm sure I could have said the same on day 25. 3 great bedrooms, a cozy loft, and a living room and kitchen that can't be beat. (Except by the wonderful surprises Deborah left of a few staples and anything we might need for starting our holiday off right.) Everything worked fine; and when I couldn't find something, a simple text message got the answer quickly. (The house has everything. It's only a matter of knowing where it is!)
Do consider using the earplugs Deborah provides, at least in the master bedroom -- which fronts on Frenchmen Street. It is NOLA and people are out most of the night on this street of great clubs, bars, and jazz.
Everything in the Quarter or the Marginy is walking distance. But it was still nice to have a car and be able to park in Deborah's off-street driveway. That made trips to The Parkway, The Joint, Ralph's, City Park, National WWII Museum, and the Garden District as easy-as-pie.
Deborah was super-helpful but kept her distance unless called upon. I guess she used her 3rd floor studio, but we never knew it.
All-in-all, I give Maison on Frenchmen a "5" and agree it truly is Fabulous. My 27 yr-old son -- who lived on Royal Street and Burgundy for 3-1/2 years -- claimed this was the coolest vacation spot I've ever picked. (My earlier stays were at the Hampton in the CBD and the Omni on St Louis. Nice places, but they couldn't hold a candle to this spot on Washington Park.)

  • Ditto that the photos do not do it justice! The house is huge, beautiful and has a wonderful character that completely added to the our New Orleans experience. We had a group of three couples we all were in awe looking around at all of Deborah's collections and art. And, her amazing record collection! The location is also top notch. If it's possible I will stay here every time I go to New Orleans.
