peaceful with breathtaking views over the Siena hills
Ideal for a couple, it has a large kitchen living room with sofa bed, big fireplace and dishwasher, bedroom, bathroom with shower. Formerly a barn, totally renovated and furnished with antiques, it joins Olivo through a connecting door to become a 3 or 4 bedrooms independent villa for a family or a group who wants more privacy.
Amazing! Where to start! We have not had a warmer welcome since we started using AirBnB and the hospitality was exceptional. Driving from Rome we had snow and were not sure of exactly how to get to the apartment; this was no issue as Malcolm came to meet us at the main road so we could follow him. Once there we were given local wine and olive oil and invited to join the family for a home-cooked meal of pasta and fresh lobster that night - spare from a friend's recent birthday.
We were treated like old friends, meeting the wider family and were given fresh eggs from the chickens that day on their own farmstead. In asking for tips as to what to do in the area time was taken to go through each and make sure we were well set up to explore the area and see all we wanted to - with local knowledge!
The set of Villas were all restored tastefully and with love; giving us a good taste of the traditional style while also having some of the more modern comforts. The photos of the view capture the vista well and it was a stunning place to wake up everyday. The place was even more beautiful to visit in real life.
We didn't really want to leave and we may well be back there one day!
