This cozy home is perfect for the under 40 crowd. It's all about the location - close to everything and stocked with all you need. Comfy bed, screened in porch, compact kitchen,& a flat screen with wifi, WD, Apple TV (Netflix, youtube, PBS, HBO Go)
Located one block from Atlanta's Beltline, this 1 bedroom charmer sleeps 2-3 comfortably (queen bed and couch) and has a screened in porch. It is located on a quiet, safe street surrounded by newly built high end homes on both sides. The cozy IKEA kitchen has butcher block counters, microwave, fridge, coffee maker, and a gas stove. Cups, plates, silverware, sheets, and towels are all in place to make your stay nice and homey. The mattress is super comfy as it is fairly new. This home doubles as my office M-F but I'm usually out in the field although will occasionally pop in (to the other office/bedroom) to knock out a bid or write a check between the hours of 9-6. On weekends I'm not there so you get the whole house to yourself along with Sadie.
Located in Reynoldstown, its super close to great shopping/bars/restaurants in Little 5 Points, East Atlanta, Cabbagetown, and 1-20 gets you downtown in 3 min!
Sadie (who lives there full time is super low maintenance but needs to be fed and let out in the back yard to go) is an adorable mix who loves company. You can throw the stick or ball for her in the (mostly) fenced back yard or take her for a walk down the Beltline.
There's a great coffee/beer bar 2 blocks away serving up great fare and they even cater to vegetarians. Kroger grocery is 4 blocks away next to Target and ther are many great restaurants you can walk to.
I'm a house fiipper so this house doubles as my office/construction storage (shed out back) and the furnishings are what I use for staging. There's a new flatscreen TV and Apple TV with Netflix, HBO Go, Hulu for movies/tv/documentaries. If this ad comes up on airbnb that means I'm in between flips and all furnishings are in place.
Marta is close by (7 min walk), the bus line is on the corner, and I20 is a major highway 5 blocks away so you can get anywhere quickly.
Off street parking, full kitchen, living room, dinette, microwave, washer/dryer, dinnerware, sheets/towels, comfy bed, wifi, apple TV with Netflix
Interaction with Guests
I'm not there much during the day and not at all after 6pm to 9 am
Reynoldstown is the best! Great people: artists, musicians, creative types alongside families, dog lovers and original neighbors. It is close to Marta rail, and a hop skip and a jump to all the best bars and restaurants Intown Atlanta has to offer
Marta rail - 8 min walk, 3 stops from downtown, bus line 5 min walk

At first was excited to stay in a place with a dog. Sadly paying money to take care of a dog ended up not being so great. The dog ended up waking me up about every hour to hour and a half in the night every time she got up and shook her collar. At about 2am I ended up trying to move her to the office as instructed. 15 minutes later she was scratching loudly at the office door so I let her back out. At 4am I woke up to her at the foot of the bed moving back and forth from one side of bed to other. Could not shut the bedroom door as there was none.
If you are going to rent a property with an animal you can spend 75 dollars to hang a door when you are essentially getting paid for someone to feed and walk your dog twice a day.
After having an amazing experience renting from airbnb in Greece this place was a disaster. I will be unable to use with my wife ever again as she was completely disgusted by this property.
What an amazing find! The house is quaint and comfortable and in what is currently the most desirable neighborhood in Atlanta. For the price there is no equal, plus it comes with a dog! Located on a safe and quiet street, there's amazing architecture, a great coffee shop/bar/dog park, and a park within easy walking distance. A little further (probably driving distance) there's a plaza with big box stores and great eclectic shopping and dining in Little Five Points. Jeff is great. His ad says he's around sometimes during business hours but I saw him briefly once or twice a day during my stay, and he's such a great guy I honestly wouldn't have minded if he were around more. There's a great screened in porch in back overlooking the huge yard with a canopy of trees that are at least 4 stories tall where you can easily while away the hours. I enjoyed my stay so much I booked two more trips before I'd even checked out from the first. I slept great, enjoyed my days, and wanted for nothing. So highly recommended!
This is a no frills affordable place to crash. Jeff was very friendly and flexible. Hip in-town location in an up-and-coming neighborhood near nightlife.
If you're picky about plush bedding and closets that don't smell kinda funny, it's not for you. It's billed as "whole home" -- well sorta; read the details. Sadie, the elderly resident dog, is super sweet and no problem.
Overall, the place met my needs, which were very basic.
This was PERFECT. My wife and I were leaving Athens a day early (too many college kids) and wanted to spend time checking out the amazing city of Atlanta. Jeff accommodated us on the day of and even let us check in a little early. The house is cozy, quiet and best of all comes with an adorably cuddle muffin by the name of Sadie....I should mention now, Sadie is a dog. It made this place feel exactly like home as we were starting to miss our own pups. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE. So close to all the cool parts of the ATL.
Jeff was a nice host and the house was clean and enjoyable! The couch and bed were both very comfortable to sleep on and the screened-in back porch was great! Sadie was so sweet and very nice to be around. I'd definitely stay there again!
Jeff was super accommodating, the space was lovely, and Sadie is really sweet.
Where do I began? With the mold hidden in the closet behind a torn up door? How about the curtain posed as a bedroom door? How about when I check out of the place (based on the sub-standard condition of the home and Jeff texted me "please if you don't mind write a bad review?" Grave disappointment. Originally, I booked the rental for five days, I only said two-two many too long before I secured another booking on AirBnb. The place is not exactly as described. Yes, from the exterior it looks like the picture. Cute. Located in a delightful neighborhood mixed in a block of modern and traditional homes . Gentrification underway. Dug Sadie and the controlled graffiti a few blocks away. The home's interior disgusted me. The pictures displayed shows only the good parts he wants you to see. Because of space I can't write the entire review I want. Here's the Reader's Digest version: electrical outlet in the kitchen can be pulled in/out of wall, dyer vented directly into the house, no bedroom door (curtain) on bedroom door, major cracks in bedroom ceiling & wall, paint chipping around the place, fire detector removed from the hallway wall. Let me stop here. This is a MAJOR fire and safety issue. The bedroom windows have bars on them with no instructions or easy way to remove them in case of fire or imminent danger. The bathroom window also has bars and the windows in the living cannot be open. Even if the windows could be open, there's only a screen on the bathroom window. The toilet was rickety and shaky. Some sort of damage in the upper right hand corner of the bathroom made the ceiling look like it would cave. The bathtub is grimy and dirty, the hot & cold for the bathtub/shower combination is written in black permanent marker on the subway tile with a "C" & "H". What else? The owner tried to hide mold in the closet with a large mirror and bench, I moved the items to put my suitcases in there, it immediately gave way to a destroyed closet door. About 2-4 inches of the bedroom's closet's bottom was torn up by the dog or damaged some way. The stove doesn't have a vent for smoke when cooking. I thought there wasn't adequate dishes and silver ware only to discover the owner left HIS dirty dishes in the dishwasher. When I checked out, I asked the owner to refund my remaining days (based on the house's condition). At first, he refused or rather told me he would if he could re-rent it. When I pointed some code issues in the home, he agreed to the refund. Except, he texted me "please if you don't mind write a bad review?" Several other disturbing texted followed, justifying the home's condition. My favorite? "It's not a five star place". How about a place up to code. It's a standard not perfection.
Reneeka was one of the least communicative guests I've ever had. She didn't bring up any issues while staying, it was after I checked in with a text to did she tell me she was relocating. She asked for a refund but gave no reason. During her stay she answered no texts. She left the place in shambles and was visibly annoyed when I came to my office at 11:30AM! The closet was off limits due to dog damage but has since been fixed along with electrical outlet (which she pulled out of the wall) and dryer vent and toilet. AS the description clearly states it is my office and I dont run the DW with 2 or 3 dirty dishes (there are plenty for guests to use). If she was so "disgusted" by the interior why did she stay for 2 days with no complaints? NO, it isnt a 5 star place, but a great deal for 65/night in an awesome location. Hopefully Reneeka will have expectations in line with property descriptions next time she uses Airbnb.

I'm from Atlanta and love to travel for music gigs. I try to get out west at least once a year. I love pets, good food, great music, and motorcycles. I run a smallish design/build company and rent the spare bedroom in my office/house through Airbnb. I've met some great guests and love it!
