We provide two levels of spacious decking, providing plenty of seating for your entire party to relax and enjoy the stunning views of the lake.
For those who love outdoor cooking, we provide a charcoal grill on-site. While we supply the grill, we kindly ask guests to bring their own charcoal and lighting source for their convenience.
As the sun sets, gather around our firepit to enjoy warm nights under the stars. Whether you're sharing stories, roasting marshmallows, or grilling your catch of the day, our fire pit provides a cozy ambiance for memorable evenings with family and friends.

Availability of kayaks, paddles, and seats cannot be guaranteed, as items may be moved, damaged, or misplaced by previous guests.

We hope they are available for you to enjoy, but recommend planning accordingly if this amenity is important to your stay.

FISH GALORE
Herrington Lake has had a reputation as one of the best fishing locations in Kentucky for many years. You can find bluegill, catfish, crappie, hybrid striped bass, largemouth bass, spotted bass and white bass.
The fun doesn't stop when the sun goes down.
Come enjoy your very own backyard aquarium starting at dusk. Green underwater fish lights under dock attract the stripper, largemouth, catfish, gar.

* WINTER POOL:
From November to April, Herrington Lake transitions to winter pool levels. Rest assured, our dock is still in deep water as always! However, the gangway will be off the steel steps, and guests will need to climb down rocks to reach it.

Other things to note
Please leave trailers at the marina. We have no room for a trailer and no turn-around space.

November to April Herrington Lake is at winter pool. During these months, dock remains in deep water but gangway will not be attached to deck steps. To reach dock, guests will step off of steps onto rocks and navigate down rocks to reach gangway of dock. Caution advised.

Home is not handicap accessible.
Bring your kiddos! But home is not toddler-proof or baby-proof.

Please note: Accessing the home and dock involves stairs.

The reward is worth it—beautiful lake views and direct water access.
The steps from the back deck to the dock have open handrails (no spindles), so please use caution. A child safety gate is installed at the top, and children should be supervised when using the stairs.


Lake house is surrounded by trees. While this is peaceful, it does mean you will encounter bugs, leaves, pollen, small twigs. Pollen and leaves will settle on outdoor furniture & decking. During the colder months, small wildlife critters (such as mice) may try to find a warm cozy place to hide. This may include inside the lake house. While the house is professionally cleaned, keep in mind the house is still a lake house nestled amongst nature and wildlife.
We are perched on a cliff which means you will encounter uneven terrain, rock and mud if you venture off the patio, deck and steps.

Quiet hours: 10pm - 6am

Cell service is spotty here on the lake. We have pockets of good reception and we have areas of bad reception. Wifi is reliable.
If having constant cell service is important, please take note of this important detail prior to booking.


After booking, guests will be required to complete a short rental agreement for insurance, safety, and local compliance purposes. This includes providing the primary guest’s full legal name, contact information, permanent mailing address, and government-issued ID.

This requirement applies to all guests equally and helps us ensure a safe and well-maintained stay for everyone.

We strongly encourage all guests to purchase travel insurance during the booking process. Travel insurance can help protect your investment in the event of illness, injury, severe weather, flight disruptions, family emergencies, or other unforeseen circumstances that may affect your travel plans.

Please note that all reservations are subject to the cancellation policy selected at the time of booking. We are unable to provide refunds, credits, or date changes outside of the terms of the applicable cancellation policy.
