Luxury Downtown Crash Pad on Marta

House - Private room · Dill Avenue Southwest, Atlanta, GA 30310, United States

The Space

Semi-Private Space.... This is not a real room with solid walls, but one of two cheerful, inviting, beautifully decorated areas divided by floor to ceiling curtains. In each of these spaces, you will find a very comfortable and well dressed single bed, a large desk/table area, plenty of storage, wonderful natural light, lush green views of Southern Magnolia branches, and pretty much everything needed to get a cozy night's rest, an afternoon nap, a session of work/study, or just chillin and relaxing. I also have little fans, space heaters, zen fountains, etc... available for guest's comfort. These crash pads are perfect for just a night passing through Atlanta (only 4 quick stops from the Airport, then a 3 minute walk to the house) or even for an extended stay (so close to downtown) In addition to the 2 luxury crash pads , there are 2 private bedrooms with en-suite vanity sinks, so at any given time there could potentially be up to 6 people staying here sharing the one full bathroom and one half bathroom, which is plenty to accomodate a full house. Guests are usually well traveled, friendly, educated, interesting to chat with, and in the habit of good house sharing etiquette. Sorry, no children or pets allowed. However, I do have 2 of the sweetest, cutest dogs ever that stay here from time to time, as well as myself. But, if you are not a dog person, please let me know, so I can be sure you don't encounter them during your stay.

The house....1000 square foot bungalow, built in 1925. Original details such as hardwood floors, high ceilings, big original windows, glass door knobs, etc...tastefully furnished with vintage housewares mixed with modern and elements of nature. Modern kitchen with high-end appliances available to guests, as well as free high speed WIFI and laundry facilities. Nice big deck and wooded back yard for those beautiful, sunny Atlanta mornings.

The neighborhood...Sylvan Hills, an up and coming community close to downtown. It's a residential neighborhood comprised of single family homes that has a Bohemian mixed with Inner City vibe. You won't find many tourists around here, mostly just local, friendly ATLiens.

  • This experience was one of a kind – in the positive sense. The house is beautiful and clean and you'll have anything you need. The bed was comfortable and I slept like a baby. Tracy was kind and helpful and everyone in the neighborhood was friendly, too. I would definitely choose her house again for my next stay in Atlanta. If you consider spending a night there, don't hesitate. As a matter of fact: do so before August and you'll meet one of the most interesting, delightful people as your housemate.

  • Tracy's beautiful house is great for a stay in Atlanta. Tracy is the perfect host. She gave me a very warm welcome and I felt at home immediately. She offered me to call her whenever I had a question or needed help. It's good to know that you can call someone if you're traveling alone.
The house is bright and beautifully furnished!
You can also use the kitchen and the washing machine what is very nice! Even though I didn't have my own room I had my privacy.
So I would definitely recommend this accomodation to everyone who wants to spend some time in Atlanta!!!

  • Tracy was a wonderful host! She was always available if anyone had questions and stopped by often to check in on everyone. You could tell she really enjoyed getting to know her guests!
I had a rental car, but the house is super close to the Marta so that is great! The house is clean and cozy and felt like a home away from home!

  • I stayed 2 nights and it was really nice. The bed is huge and very comfortable. The house was very clean. Also, the distance from home to train station is super near...for about 2minutes.
Tracy was very helpful! She informed me great area to go, and gave me useful information! If I visit Atlanta again, I'll absolutely stay again!

  • I lived in the house for the ENTIRE month so I think I can tell you about the house more than others. This house is really nice and comfortable. Marta train station is about five-minute walk. There is everything you need. Neighborhood is not crowded but feeling safe. I had to go back home in the night many times though I felt really safe. Tracy is also very nice. If I go back to Atlanta, I will not hesitate to choose her house again.

  • Great place and a great host. If you rely on public transport or you go there by car its perfectly located half way between Airport and Downtown and just a 5 Minutes walk from the MARTA station. The place is very stylish and Tracy is a very kind person. Would defiantly stay there again!

  • This place is beautiful! A historic house remodeled with the utmost charm. The bed was comfy and everything was immaculately clean. The decor felt warm and there was everything one would need to settle in Atlanta for several days, or for just passing through like I did. I would definitely recommend Tracy's place and stay here again myself.

  • Tracy was the perfect host, and her uber cool and cozy Crash Pad not only saved me on an unexpected layover in Atlanta, but was a dream spot to spend my a few extra days.

Her beautifully decorated vintage cottage exudes warmth, and Tracy does a wonderful job at making one feel right at home from the moment you walk in the door. She is well versed in the cool local spots to hit and neighbourhoods to explore.

The place is close to the airport and a hop, skip and a jump away from the city transit system, making the city accessible without a car. A perfect place for a short stopover or for those who don't mind sharing a space.

About
Easy going, creative type. I like cooking, entertaining, local, organic food, yoga, good wine, lots of good music, art, film, animals, nature, sailing, the ocean, traveling, calm and tranquil spaces, and I try to find beauty in all things. I like to have fun and not take life too seriously. I enjoy hosting and meeting new friends from all cultures and backgrounds and don't really follow the mainstream of American culture much at all. I am a realtor and love to buy houses and fix them up. I have quite a few places where I host guests and try to be as accommodating as possible, so you will also have a co-host, Forrest. and his handsome pooch, Odin, here to make sure your stay if a great one.
