Come and share our historic home located in Heritage Hill, a wonderful neighborhood just 5 minutes from downtown Grand Rapids. In 2012, Heritage Hill was named one of the top ten neighborhoods in the country by the American Planning Association and Grand Rapids was ranked #1 in the "Top 10 US travel destinations for 2014" by Lonely Planet. We are minutes away from shopping, restaurants, museums, and antique stores. The Van Andel Arena is 1.5 miles from our home and the DeVos Performance Hall is 1.8 miles from us.
We have 3 bedrooms available, each with a queen bed and shared access to the guest bathroom. The rate for each bedroom is $65, and can accommodate two people.
We offer free WIFI, a pet and smoke free environment and easy street parking. We are 5 minutes from the Amtrak, Greyhound & Megabus stations and would be happy to pick you up if our schedule allows.
We love Grand Rapids and all it has to offer and are happy to make suggestions to make your stay more fun!

Very beautiful home, the woodwork and decorative care that they took into decorating their home was apparent. The welcoming of Scott and Karen was very warm. They had fresh coffee and amazing home made cinnamon rolls ready for us in the morning. The private bathroom included with our room had a shower with a waterfall attachment which made the experience even more amazing. The bed was very clean and comforable. They were able to give us restaurant recommendations that were very spot on to what we were looking for. I would definitely recommend this airbnb to all my friends!
Oh my... what a wonderful experience. This was such a fantastic journey down Victorian lane with Midwest Living charm. Beautiful - BEAUTIFUL home that is perfectly appointed to host. Karen and Scott and truly wonderful hosts, blessed with the gifts of hospitality and charm. You will not go wrong here - and if you are lucky enough to taste their homemade cinnamon rolls you know you are truly in heaven.
Karen and Scott were gracious hosts. They have a firm knowledge of the area and were very helpful. The trip was a success! I would stay there again.
The description was accurate and the neighborhood was great! Walking distance to great places to eat and drink. Their home was warm and inviting. They greeted us at the door and went out of their way to let us know the best places around. We had the best cinnamon rolls we ever had from Scott and Karen made us feel right at home. Can't recommend them enough!
Karen and Scott were both warm and friendly hosts. I felt welcomed and accommodated throughout my four night business trip.
The private bedroom and bathroom space is separated from the rest of the house by a privacy curtain, which made the space easy to live in.
The bed was especially comfortable. I slept so well the first night that I felt compelled to ask Scott and Karen about the mattress make and model, which they were happy to give me.
I'd look forward to coming back if I find myself in town again.
Our hosts were very welcoming and accommodating. We had a personal setback the day of arrival, so arrived late and they worked with us and were there for us. Their beautiful home was very comfortable and we slept great the night of our stay, which is saying something for us! We had a lovely stay and recommend this special place, and couple, to fellow travelers!
This is a beautiful home. House was just as it was described. We highly recommend this airbnb. We had a wonderful stay. Clean. Great neighborhood. Close to downtown. Karen and Steve are very nice. Coffee and homemade cinnamon rolls in the morning. Yum. Will stay here again if ever in Grand Rapids

A spontaneous stop off the highway to grab dinner while on vacation was the beginning of our love affair with Grand Rapids. We were so charmed with the area, we decided to relocate from Chicago. After three years of searching, we finally found our dream Victorian home in 2011 and decided to take the leap!
Between Karen’s love for decorating and all things Victorian, and Scott’s ability to fix anything [our friends call him “The House Whisperer” ], owning a 120 year old home is right up our alley. Scott and I met at church and were married in 2002. We absolutely love our new adopted hometown, and have been having a blast discovering all there is to see and do in Grand Rapids. We love entertaining, and look forward to hosting you!
