  • Overall a great place to stay, in a good location for the all the surf spots in the north, places to rent boards and supermarket all close by in Lajares.
Everything was very easy with Steef and Izzy, easy to get hold of if needed. The house was exactly as described in the advert and pictures - although the views are better in real life!
A lovely secluded spot, very calm and relaxing place. The house was clean and tidy when we got there with a bottle of wine to welcome us! Very comfortable place, we loved the outdoor area for enjoying the views and stars!
suited us as a couple, but would also be great for a group with the outdoor space to hang out and bbq together.
Thank you Steef and Izzy for a lovely stay!

  • We had a lovely week at Steefs. Beautiful views and clean air.
Worked really well for a couple and a toddler. Thank you.

  • We looked up quiet a few apartments before having chosen Steef’s one. It definitely turned out to be the best choice for us. What a nice place! In the lovingly decorated house you’ll find everything needed for a stay, including a well-equipped kitchen. A special plus is the big patio, wonderful to enjoy sunsets on the couch.

The village itself with a few restaurants and bars is the perfect place for people looking for a more convenient atmosphere rather than mass-tourism centers nearby the sea.

We really enjoyed our stay. Steef, who lives a few hundred meters away, is a great host. He’s there whenever needed, while granting privacy at same time.

Choose it, you won’t regret it!

  • Great place. Nice welcome from Steef and Lizzy because they gave good directions and even bought some food for us. If you have a car to explore the north of the island this is the perfect place to stay. Really clean and comfortable.

    October 2013
  • Quiet nice place to stay far away from all the craziness of Coralejo, really near to the surfspots of El Cotillo and also in walking distance of Lajares, the house offered everything for two to four persons stay, it's clean and the veranda offers the best star view ever!!! I really can recommend this place for people who prefer a relaxing atmosphere for their holidays!

but if you want to live, breathe, relax, see the stunning stars at night, listen to the wind in the trees, then you have to come to
    steef´s house in lajares!!
the house is perfectly located in lajares, 10 min from el cotillo, 12 min from corralejo. lajares offers you everything you need, from fine bakery to bars, even sushi.
the house is easy to find, very clean, the bed is good, the shower is great and the kitchen is equipped with everything you need. even the fridge was filled with everything for a first breakfast incl. fresh bread after your flight.
steef, lizzy and nic are really cool people. they don´t treat you as guests, more as friends.

  • This was our first time using AIR B&B so I didn't know what to expect. We've rented houses through other sites and have never had a problem finding the house, but this was a scene from the twilight zone, trying to find this house at night.

The directions that Steef posted on his listing were:
    1. Incorrect- it said to make a right instead of a left onto the road
    2. Did not include the house number
    3. Did not include the security code to get the gate open

After driving around in the dark for a couple of hours and asking locals for directions (no one know where the street was), I hesitantly turned on my phone because I knew that the roaming charges would be steep. The number that Steef provided was no longer in use.

I then called the Air B&B help line. They kept me on hold for a while while they tried to reach him. They finally did. AIR B&B told me Steef would be calling immediately- he didn't so I had to call him (he said he couldn't get through to me).

He stayed on the phone with me till we got to the house (he then told me the house number which he had forgotten to include in the directions and oh BTW the code to open the gate to get into the property).

He was really nice about it all and blamed his girlfriend for the bad directions.

    The House
The house itself is nice, smaller than the photos make it seem, but well decorated, clean and had some bare essentials. It's really in the middle of nowhere so if you're looking for privacy, this is the house for you. Needs some landscaping work, which they seem to be in the middle of.
