I'm a semi-retired executive refugee from the world of big brand international retail franchising. Past Int'l Sr. exec. of Papa John's, Dunkin' Donuts and Baskin-Robbins. I have traveled throughout the world, speak Japanese, was educated in Hawaii, love surfing, catamaran sailing, off-roading, building and welding stuff and being outdoors in the mountains, beach or wherever nature whispers peace or shouts adventure.
I left the corporate world in 2006 to build and curate an "Intentional Community" / Eco-Village called the Village on Sewanee Creek. You can read about me and our (Email hidden by Airbnb) and TNw (Website hidden by Airbnb) I'm a jazz saxophonist. So the first thing I built in the Village was an amphitheater with a large stage and an enclosed backstage that houses a large BBQ, foosball and ping pong tables and a huge screen for outdoor movies under the stars. I also used to develop Blockbuster Video franchises around the world, so I guess that's where I inherited a love for home theater.
Independence day is our biggest celebration of the year with entertainment, fireworks and a gut-busting potluck picnic at the Commons/Amphitheater facility. All are welcome to join us. If you are an accomplished musician or even just pretty good, you are welcome to perform on the Village stage. Singer/Songwriters will also enjoy the tranquility of covered decks on the treehouse, Log Cabin or Eco-container Cabin or at our 50 foot waterfall.
We enjoy hanging out with interesting people who have their own stories to tell. Sometimes we invite guests to join us in the main house for dinner or a movie on our indoor home theater.
The motto of the Village on Sewanee Creek is "In harmony with nature and people". We look forward to enjoying your company and hope you will love our little slice of heaven on the Cumberland Plateau as much as we do.
