This affordable loft style apartment, in the Sunset Junction area of Silver Lake, is walking distance to Sunset Blvd which is full of the cities best cafes, clubs lounges, vintage shopping, a weekly farmer’s market, bus lines, bike rentals, —all just down the hill from this breezy residential neighborhood. Take one of our famous "stair streets" down the hill to Sunset Boulevard. Located a few blocks from the, "Music Box Steps" of the 1932 renowned Laurel and Hardy film. You will find plenty of parking in this desirable part of Silver lake, "the Micheltorena hills." Our property is gated and fenced with a lit entry. The design was inspired by one of our favorite boutique hotels in the desert. The closet is open with wooden hangers and the decor is primarily white providing you with a neutral palette. When a guest unpacks his/her personal belongs those personal items become the color of the apartment. This provides a reflection and a unique experience for each guest. I believe that zen can be found with order and simplicity and our guests have concluded that the apartment is truly inspiring for them.
The open-style, minimalist modern apartment has hardwood floors, reclaimed hand-made furniture, flokati rugs, free wi-fi and an attractive kitchenette breakfast bar with hot plate, convection/toaster oven, mini fridge/freezer, foreman grill, coffee maker plus a new air conditioner and a new 32" flat screen hd tv with HBO and dvr.
You’ll have million dollar city views from both the living room and cozy bedroom which has a new full bed, and luxury linens. The modern bathroom has a new 32" shower enclosure and European style sink. We offer local handmade soaps, plush towels & hair dryer. For longer stays use our new washer & dryer located conveniently right outside the apartment.
Our apartment is cleaned with non toxic environmentally safe products after every visit. This is a family environment and discounts are already reflected in the price you are quoted. No professional photography.
There is a large city view patio just outside of the apartment that is shared. Original 1950's steel tube vintage patio set with umbrella is available when not in use by someone else. You will also find a lower terrace rock garden with modern loungers and a side table. Feel free to enjoy the fruit that grows on our lemon, fig or avocado tree.
Interaction with Guests
We are here on the property if you need us and you might see us coming or going but there are also many guests we never see at all. If you find something is not working please let us know. We take great pride in our apartments and want your experience to reflect that.
We have the absolute most iconic views of downtown Los Angeles. Our private apartment is clean and minimal. We live in the property and take the utmost care of our place so that our guests have the best possible experience.
Bus stops just down the hill on Sunset Blvd.most guests use Uber. Three blocks to Sunset Blvd. Our place is in the hills of Silver lake.
No last minute sleepovers or smoking inside the house. Smoking only on the designated middle terrace. $500 damage deposit. This is a family environment so while we welcome you, this is not a hang out for unregistered guests or a place for your business meetings. We are registered with a location company so no photography or castings. Quiet time from 10pm-7am. Please check street cleaning signs street cleaning is 12:00 noon to 2pm on Thursday and Friday only (This means you may need to move your car to the other side of the street during those times) Please park your car in the same direction as the other cars on the street and leave room for another car in front or behind you. The patio is shared so please keep all personal items including laundry inside your apartment.
