Location, location, location!
This cozy apartment is situated on the first floor of the Victorian town house in the heart of Adams Morgan. It is great for visitors who want to explore Washington, DC. Whether your interests are mainstream or off the beaten path, physical or intellectual, you’ll find it nearby. Nearby Rock Creek Park is great for jogging or walks. The entrance to the National ZOO is located just two blocks away and a grocery store only a block away.
Please contact via airbnb messaging and NOT email with any followup questions or concerns.
You can take a Metro Bus that stops half a block from the apartment, and be by the White House in less than seven minutes. Off-street parking behind the house is available for extra $20 a day. You can catch the metro, which is about 4 blocks away.
We like to use Groupons to explore the ethnic variety of restaurants in our neighborhood. The nightlife is about a block away, but our neighborhood is very safe and family friendly.
You can contact us during your stay with any concern.
There is a queen size bed in both rooms. There is also a full length sofa in the living room for an additional person. In the sunroom, which is attached to the second room there is a twin sized memory foam mattress. The glass house attached to the sunroom is used to store our equipment and should be used for emergency exit only. The glass house is at the rear of the house. Please do not lock the glass house door.
THE SECOND BEDROOM IS ONLY AVAILABLE FOR PARTIES OF 3 OR MORE unless previous arrangements have been made. Please contact me regarding your needs. Because we live in a residential neighborhood, we are not open to hosting parties. Please keep the number of people that are not guests to a minimum.
You need to disclose the total number of guests accurately when making reservation requests, including infants and children. Please clarify the details of your reservation, including those who will be traveling with you, with your host via the messaging system on the site before submitting a reservation request.
Washer and Dryer are in the basement and can be used upon request. Full kitchen with dishwasher is in the unit. WiFi accessible. Toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, body soap, facial soap, lotion) and hair dryer available. If you've forgotten something please let us know, we may be able to supply.
For those with dog allergies: our dog does not shed and he does not live in this unit but in ours above. I'm actually allergic to dogs (severely allergic to cats), so I did research on dogs that didn't shed and had low dandur because I do have allergies to dogs and cats, so I think people with allergies will be ok.
PLEASE CONTACT VIA AIRBNB messaging and not email.
Anything in the flat is for your use. If you need anything please let me know. The dresser in the first bedroom has extra toiletries as well.
Interaction with Guests
We try to greet most of our guests, but our check in doesn't require this because we have number keypads to access the flat. If you check in very late or leave early, we may miss you, but we're always available if you have any questions. We live above the flat. Please keep in mind that we monitor airbnb messaging religiously and can be easily contacted through the website.
I love this neighborhood. It's quiet considering that we live just a block away from all the restaurants and bars.
PARKING: We have a parking spot in the back. We normally park our cars in the back and it fits both our cars, however, if a guest requests parking, we will try to find parking ahead of time for one of the cars. This is why it is important for a guest to let us know they need parking in advance, because parking in our neighborhood after rush hour is VERY difficult.
The 42 bus takes you to most tourist destinations and less than a block to walk. I recommend downloading the Uber of Lyft app, but you can obtain a taxi less than a block from our house off of Columbia rd. There are two metros within a 5-10 minute walk as well.
The closest grocery store is Safeway. It is around the corner from the house off of Columbia Rd. (the main road off our house). It is walking distance and less than a block away. CVS and seven eleven are also there. There are many restaurants along Columbia Rd. and 18th St. A favorite brunch spot is Tryst. (18th st), a favorite noodle soup is Pho14 (columbia rd).
Other Things to Note
If you need to use the washing machine, please note that the washing machine located in the basement. The one in the unit is not hooked up.
Washer and Dryer are in the basement and can be used upon request. Full kitchen with dishwasher are in the unit. If you load the dishwasher the detergent is located under the sink.

My family and I had a wonderful weekend in DC and staying in this apartment was a huge part of that. The place is indeed beautiful, well furnished, and comfortable. The full modern kitchen was very useful since we have kids and needed to cook a meal or two. The beds were very comfy, although if you are particular about pillows, you might bring your own. The Adams Morgan neighborhood is great and we walked easily to The Diner and other great restaurants in the hood. Street parking was fine for us, although the hosts generously offer off street parking for a small additional fee. I even took a mini-nap on the couch which, for a busy mom, was truly a highlight of the weekend. We will definitely try to stay here again next time we come to DC.
Grace and Vladi were both very welcoming, and the location couldn't have been better. A short bus ride away from all the famous landmarks, and literally a block away from this great 'hip' part of town with great food and nightlife. My only regret was not planning for a longer stay.
I stayed at the Adams Morgan for almost a month and it was lovely. The location is perfect for walking to grocery stores and the heart of Adams Morgan. The flat is warm and friendly and the hosts are warm and welcoming. I loved it and will be staying again.
Grace and Vladi were great hosts! They responded to our questions very promptly, and provided us with information for check-in. The apartment is located in the quiet, safe Adams Morgan area, with steps away from a bus stop that lets you board the DC circulator ($1 fare) that takes to you metro stations and the National Mall area. There are also tons of restaurants and shopping (CVS, Safeway) nearby for quick shopping runs. While DC winters are typically mild, their apartment was quite warm and toasty, and made for a very comfortable stay. The apartment is quite spacious for two people and beautifully decorated. We made good use of the kitchen/dining area (convenient if you are grabbing takeout). One minor issue though, is that the apartment has hot water radiators, and there's one positioned right next to the bed in the bedroom. This can make some noise and if you are a light sleeper, wake you up at night briefly, so be sure to bring ear plugs if you are a light sleeper. Other than this one minor issue, we had an amazing stay at Grace and Vladi's place and we will definitely recommend their apartment.
Grace and Vlad were very nice and welcoming. I wish I had read closer and realized that they didn't have a TV. We're the types who go out all day but like to relax at night with a bit of TV.
Grace and Vladi were very welcoming -- the neighborhood is lovely, about 15 mins walk to a Metro stop, easy bus connections anywhere in the city.
The hosts were great and very helpful. Be careful about leaving your car in their parking spot though--we did and somebody smashed in the window. Vlad was very generous though and vacuumed up the broken glass for us.
Ive been living in Adams Morgan in Washington, DC for last three years. We'd like to invite all good people to Washington to help them to get to know this amazing city.
