Our house is in the middle of the labyrint of the medina and is difficult to find. We suggest to make rdv or we can arrange a taxi from the airport.
Nicolas' riad is beautiful!!!! The modern furniture, the rugs, the plant filled open patio with animals included, the primitive decoration, the glass colored windows, i could go on and on... Unfortunately we weren't able to meet Nicolas as he was on vacation but that didn't prevent him from being an excellent host from afar.. He arranged a taxi to pick us up at the airport. He left in charge a nice young lad Abdelfetah who gave us on our first day a tour on bike to show us the important places and how to get back home. We were also taken the first day to meet Ibrahim who was extremely kind to give and explain to us a map of the medina and the gueliz ( the new city). This was extremely helpful and Ibrahim was very generous and kind..Nicolas also left a written instructions sheet with important info and tips. Every morning we had a wonderful breakfast prepared by Abdelfetah or Rasheeda and enjoyed it in the middle of the open patio.. Our room was also great with our own bathroom. The decoration also impecable... It was a oasis inside the medina. We would go out, live the eonderful craziness of the Jemma el Fna and the souks ( markets) and then come to rest to a most tranquil place you would never imagine existed inside the labyrintic derbs (small streets).. Nicolas left everything organized in such a way that we always felt taken care of. Thank you for the great experience!!
A bientôt,
Camille, Julien et Tiphaine
Our stay with Nicolas and Jaques was lovely, since we arrived they made us feel very comfortable and straight away explained and showed us on the map what to do and where to go in busy Marrakesh. The bikes they have were definitely a must to have to go around the medina without much harassment from the locals, I can only imagine what it would be like without the bikes eheh, thank you very much for that! :D Besides opening the doors to their house every morning there was a tasty delicious colorful splendid breakfast to get us ready to face the heat and smells of chaotic Marrakesh! :D 5 stars overall! Very good people with a very beautiful home, amazing pets and nice taste for decoration and breakfast choice! We loved it! :)
Love Nicolas and Jacques amazing place and beautifully decorated. Cant wait to plan our next trip here
Even better than expected ! xxxx
What a great escape :)! Nicolas and Jacques were the most perfect hosts you can imagine! A wonderful calm paradise in the busy Medina!
The room is lovely decorated heading towards the patio! Lots of space in the beatiful garden! Two lovely dogs and three turtles will join you heaving a great breakfast! Nicolas and Jacques were very helpful, openminded and we spent a great time with them! So we warmly recommend you to stay at their place!
Staying with Nicolas and Jacques was the best decision we made! They were incredibly gracious hosts, and made us feel immediately welcome even when our train arrived four hours late. Their home is beautiful and peaceful and it was so nice to spend time with their two sweet dogs. The bicycles they lent us made it easy to explore the medina and even see sights beyond the walls. We can't recommend it highly enough--it was a highlight of our trip.
About the Host, Nicolas
We, Jacques and myself live and work in Marrakech for 7 years now. We feel at home in this busteling city and have decided to buy a house four years ago... It is big enough to host people and help them find their way in the crazy medina.
I'm working as an architect and after work and in weekends I love cooking, singing, enjoying opera and go for a walk in the countryside or mountains.
