This large, bright, south facing studio in the heart of the Swiss Apls, sits on a sunny terrace at 1500m. It has sweeping views across the Rhone Valley. There is a bedroom area (separated from the living room by glass doors), kitchen and shower room.
We have high speed internet.
My apartment is bright and light. With windows along the width of the property. There is a large balcony with room to dine on. The total surface area is approx. 44m2.
There is a main bed in the bedroom area and a sofa bed in the living area.
We love it! Mainly because of the views and the relaxing atmosphere.
In the town:
Spa and wellness
This newly opened spa (2012) offers a large indoor / outdoor pool with thermal areas, treatment rooms, saunas, steam rooms and jacuzzis etc.
Anzere offers a wide range of slopes and trails for downhill and cross-country skiers, snowboarders and winter hikers. I love this resort for it quiet slopes and plenty of fresh powder.
Over Christmas and New year there is a 6 night minimum booking period, as it is high season.
Anzère also has fantastic walking country with lakes, dams and tours along historic irrigation channels known as Bisses. There are great wine tour through the valley from Martigny to Sion. Take the train or cycle from vineyard to vineyard.
Check in is flexible if there isn't a booking, before or after your booking. But generally check in time is 15:00, check out is 11:00. You can always contact me if you have special requirements.
I will email you with details about how to pick up the keys.
Anzere is just under 2 hours drive from Geneva Airport. And 2.5 hours from Milan. Both go past great lakes and mountains
You can also take a train from Geneva airport to Sion (2 hours), then take a bus or a taxi up to Anzere. (URL HIDDEN)
In some case, if you are arriving late on public transport, I will arrange for you to pick up the key at the apartment,
Other things to note
There is a local tourist tax of Fr. 2.50 per night per adult, half price for children from 6.-16 years of age. Less than 6 is free. You'll need to pay this when you arrive to the estate agent.
I love the contrast of living in central London and the Alps. The air in Anzere in like champagne. As an interface designer, I spend a lot of time in front of a computer. Getting out to the mountains to go boarding or walking is the perfect antidote.
