This large, bright, south facing studio in the heart of the Swiss Apls, sits on a sunny terrace at 1500m. It has sweeping views across the Rhone Valley. There is a bedroom area (separated from the living room by glass doors), kitchen and shower room.
High speed internet
Spa and wellness
This newly opened spa (2012) offers a large indoor / outdoor pool with thermal areas, treatment rooms, saunas, steam rooms and jacuzzis etc.
Anzere offers a wide range of slopes and trails for downhill and cross-country skiers, snowboarders and winter hikers. I love this resort for it quiet slopes and plenty of fresh powder.
Over Christmas and New year there is a 6 night minimum booking period, as it is high season.
Anzère also has fantastic walking country with lakes, dams and tours along historic irrigation channels known as suonen. There are great wine tour through the valley from Martigny to Sion. Take the train or cycle from vineyard to vineyard.
As I don't live at the apartment full-time, I need to arrange for them to be supplied by my estate agent, Novagence, they charge CHF25 per person, per booking. I have included this charge in the cleaning and service costs.
Check in is flexible if there isn't a booking, before or after your booking. But generally check in time is 15:00, check out is 11:00. You can always contact me if you have special requirements.
The keys can be picked up and dropped off from my estate agents in the village (Novagence). There is a key box outside their office, for those arriving late.
Anzere is just under 2 hours drive from Geneva Airport. And 2.5 hours from Milan. Both go past great lakes and mountains
You can also take a train from Geneva airport to Sion (2 hours), then take a bus or a taxi up to Anzere. (URL HIDDEN)
In some case, if you are arriving late on public transport, I will arrange for you to pick up the key at the apartment,
As well as the Spa there are numerous bars and restaurants to choose from. Some of our favourites include:
Pizzeria de la Poste - Stone fired pizzas
Le Grand Roc - A quirky bar and restaurants usually full of locals
The Peter Pan - You have to go to see Anya the bar owner.
It is about a 30 Mins drive from the resort of Crans-Montana and an hour from Verbier, Nendaz and the rest of the 4 Vallées. Great for a day trip.
The town is walkable but there is also a free ski bus in the winter and a regular bus between Sion and Anzere, that stops just up the road.
Other Things to Note
There is a local tourist tax of Fr. 2.50 per night per adult, half price for children from 6.-16 years of age. Less than 6 is free. You'll need to pay this when you arrive to the estate agent.
