There is an aviary of lovebirds and budgies outside (attached to the main house). They're not very loud but you can hear them if you're sitting on the deck.

There are 2 little dogs on the property. They will not be loose in the yard but you may hear them at some point. They're very sweet and they don't bark a lot but just a heads up. They do not live in the home. Unfortunately we are not able to accommodate any more pets.

Interaction with Guests
I am available to my guests throughout their stay via phone/e-mail. I come by the main home on the property on a daily basis so I am always around and available to answer any questions that arise.
Our neighborhood is one of the many older neighborhoods in the city. It's really close to downtown, which is very convenient and one of the biggest draws of this home. The downtown area has many great coffee shops, wine bars, restaurants, shopping, etc. There's also a park only a block away with an outdoor fitness center, basketball court, playground, and community garden.
It's also conveniently located near the 101 North & South freeway on ramps, which is nice for getting around quickly.
It is also very close to the trail head of Cerro San Luis (commonly known as Madonna Mountain).
Street parking is free and always available.
There is a bus stop a block away from the home. The main bus transit center is about a 15-20 minute walk downtown.
Bikes are available for rent (2 beach cruisers) but they're subject to availability. There are also a couple other bike rental places within close proximity as well if you wanted a mountain bike or other kind.

Great studio! My boyfriend and I stayed here for a weekend getaway. The studio was the perfect size for the two of us, and a quick walk to the downtown area where all the shops/restaurants/bars are located. Carrie was quick to respond to our request and gave us all the details well in advance of us arriving; the fresh cookies on the counter when we arrived were great as well. Would definitely stay here again!
Such a cute studio! This place was the perfect size for me and my fiancé. Located close enough to downtown where you could walk to plenty of great places to eat and shop. Plenty of parking and the Spanish style atmosphere really made us feel like we were on vacation. Carrie was amazing and provided us with all the information we needed. She even had freshly baked cookies out as well as yogurts and waters in the fridge. The studio was exactly like the pictures and the balcony was a great place to sit out and relax. We’ll definitely be back!
Cute, cozy, wonderful place just a short walk from downtown SLO. The cleanliness and order was as nice as a fine hotel. The balcony is private and cozy. We will be back!
We were greeted at the street by the owner and shown the best parking area and the entrance to the upstairs unit. Fresh cookies were provided and the studio was fresh and clean.
This was a totally cute studio apartment with an amazing balcony. When you walk through the entry gate, you get a Mediterranean vibe. There are lots of plants, fountains and chirping birds from the aviary at the house next door. The interior of the apartment has a Moorish design, and the outside of the unit features Spanish tiles. My husband was so impressed by the balcony, we decided to get take-out and enjoy the view and late afternoon breeze while we ate our meal.
Carrie provided a binder with lots of helpful information about the unit and things to do in SLO. We appreciated the homemade cookies she left for us. The bed was super-comfy, and the kitchen well-stocked. We had some difficulty getting the TV to work, and Carrie was very responsive and came by and fixed it immediately. Would definitely stay there again.
My husband and I spent 2 weeks at the studio. Walking through the entry gate transported us to the Mediterranean. There is a lovely courtyard with 2 bubbling fountains. It provides a very peaceful atmosphere. The stairs and balcony are tiled in keeping with the décor. The view from the balcony was beautiful and the furniture on the balcony very comfortable.
The décor was lovely and the quality of everything, including kitchen utensils, dishes, and cutlery were excellent. There is a walk-in closet that provided space for all our belongings so they didn’t take up room in the main area. In addition, the provisions that were provided, including Keuring coffee and tea pods were most appreciated. Besides being in a “walkable” neighborhood, the studio is conveniently located not far from the highway.
Carrie provided a binder with all types of pertinent information that helped us enjoy our stay. It was easy to keep in touch with Carrie via phone or the internet. We enjoyed meeting her on the last morning.
We would definitely recommend staying here.
My husband and I really enjoyed staying here. We loved sitting on the patio in the afternoons and watching the trees and birds. I felt like we were in a tropical paradise, with the fountain, courtyard, birds and blooming roses. It was so nice to be able to walk to downtown and be car free. We also enjoyed being able to walk from here to the nearby Mountain trailhead.
Everything in the studio is so artfully and thoughtfully set up. Love the keyless entry. Communicating with Carrie was easy and quick. I asked for bedding for the sofa bed and it was all set up and ready for us upon arrival. We didn't meet Carrie, as we were out and about most of the time, but Carrie was available should we have a need, but everything was so well supplied, there's no need.

I grew up in San Luis Obispo, California. I love the Central Coast and everything it has to offer.
I love the outdoors and exploring the coast with my little dog Callie.
