Reconnect with the Earth as you walk the stone spiral, consult the stars on stargazing beds, take in sunrise with wildlife, cool off in the pool, soak in the spa, play a game of pool, or watch movies in bed. The space
Play a game of pool, have a dip in the hot tub, explore our labyrinth and rock maze, bbq your favorite dish, have some wine by the fire pit, take in the sunsets that project magic in every direction, absorb the insane brilliance of the stars with zero light pollution, watch a movie on one of the 3 movie theaters in the house, cool off in the cowboy pool, try a cold plunge in the bunny bath, play one of dozens of board games. In short, make Rock Haven your own dream home away from home. Leave feeling refreshed, well-rested, and filled with memories that bring you joy.

The park is just down the street, but don’t feel bad if you are enjoying Rock Haven too much to make it there. After all, we have multiple Joshua trees on the property, and unlike the park, our Joshua trees are lit up at night! (Although the park is amazing and try to make time to explore it!)

Desert Rock Haven once belonged to a local rock artist. Come enjoy the stone sculptures, benches, tables, and much of his life’s work that remains on the property today. We continued the rock art tradition inside and out, using the remaining rocks and boulders for pathways, countertops, porches, and landscaping – staying true to the artist’s vision while imprinting our own weirdness and artistry. There’s truly nothing like Desert Rock Haven anywhere else in Joshua Tree. It’s basically the stone henge of the high desert. You’ll understand once you’re here :)

Our home is intended to be a peaceful retreat. Parties and loud noises are not tolerated. Please be respectful and enjoy the peace and quiet this desert vortex has to offer.

We have a brand new high powered AC unit in each room and four portable space heaters to keep you warm in the cooler months of the year.

We provide organic coffee, teas, olive oil, and salt 'n pepper. There are usually some fun spices in the cupboards, help yourself.

A maximum of two trained dogs welcome with a $50 pet fee. NO CATS (sorry).

Guest access
You have access to the entire house and property. No one lives in the RV so you have the place to yourself. The property extends all of the way to Marigold Lane. You can hold a meeting with the wildlife on the other side of the labyrinth. Please respect the neighbors and stay on Rock Haven’s 5 acres.

Neighborhood highlights

We are in the rural desert with sweeping gorgeous views of the mountains of Joshua Tree National Park to the south. Just far enough from town to feel like you are away from the hustle and bustle but close enough if you need to run a quick errand. The neighborhood is very quiet and peaceful. Each plot of land is 5 acres. We get coyotes, roadrunners, falcons, hummingbirds, bunnies, jackrabbits, quail, owls, several species of lizards, and of course the occasional snake (only the nice kind). It truly is a fairy tale property with amazing vibes. We guarantee that you will feel re-energized and want to extend your stay!
