The apartment is a 7 minute walk from the beach, or a 2 minute drive. We have a stunning, unobstructed view of the sea and the Sharon valley toward Tel Aviv. It is 25 minutes to Tel Aviv without traffic on the coastal highway. Our neighbourhood is entirely residential and quiet. Two synagogues within walking distance, also shopping mall and supermarket.
Poleg has its own beach, with long stretches of sand, a restaurant. Shopping is close by as well as a mini-shuttle bus to take you to the train station or the centre of Netanya. There is also a wonderful promenade close by and a nature reserve. It is a 10 minute drive into the center of Netanya and 25 minutes into Tel Aviv by car - 15 minutes by train.

We welcome you to our home, and we hope you enjoy your stay in our sunny, bright apartment. Our furnishings and possessions are our treasures and we hope that you will take good care of them, as if they were your own. We have provided you with the instruction on the use of appliances(attached to the appliances), and general information about the contents of the apartment available for your use and also their care.
Smoking is not permitted under any circumstances in the apartment and on the balcony. Grilling on the balcony is not permitted.

Kindly note that electricity is very expensive, and we would appreciate if you could turn out the lights when not needed, and only use the air-conditioning when the heat becomes unbearable and you are at home. Putting on the fan only will provide air circulation. Mornings are usually cooler and opening windows will provide good circulation and fresh air. It is advisable to close windows and curtains in the afternoon. On windy days, kindly close all windows to prevent the dust/sand from entering the apartment. Please turn off the air conditioning when you go out and are not at home. The remote is already set for use at 24 c /74 F.
Separate documents for operating appliances will be found with the appliance.
Bed linens and towels are in the second bedroom wardrobe on the right hand side. Please only take brightly colored beach towels(on a separate shelf to the beach.(not the bath towels in yellow or pale colors)
Hot water is provided by solar panels on the roof, and in the summer months this is usually sufficient to provide hot water all day long. However there is an electrical timer on our water heater which is set to go on for half hour (7.30 -8 am) in the morning. This should be sufficient to provide hot water early in the morning. Kindly do not tamper with the settings.
Should you accidentally dirty or mark any of the walls, remove the marks with a clean rag, soap and water.
The floors are marble, and should only be cleaned with water (Damp mop/floor rag). Please do not use any detergents or scrape the floor with a sharp object.
LIVING ROOM/DINING AREA AND KITCHEN
1. Do not place glasses/plates/dishes on the coffee table or bureau without having a coaster beneath. Coasters are provided in the drawers of the coffee table. Do not put anything hot on the surfaces under any circumstances.
2. Any spills should be dried immediately to prevent stains, and damage to the wood.
3. Place mats/trivets are provided for use on the glass dining table. They will be found in the bottom drawer of the kitchen island. Do not place anything on the glass of the table without a coaster/trivet or place mat as the table is likely to be scratched. Trivets for hot items should also be used on the island table. Additionally there are table cloths in the 2nd bedroom linen closet.
4. Dining chairs are leather – kindly ensure no food falls on them.
5. Curtains should be drawn closed when sunny, to prevent damage to the furniture and carpet.
6. Garbage is to be taken to the garbage room on the main floor of the building in closed bags to be put into the green containers there. Newspapers/ paper is to be placed in the blue recycling bin at the side of the building.
7. Please do not let food particles go down the drain as it is likely to get blocked. There is a strainer in the sink to collect the particles.
8. Our dishwasher is new and modern. See separate instructions to operate the dishwasher on the appliance itself.
9. The oven is new and heats very quickly. Kindly mop up spills/splashes with soap and water only – do not scrape any parts with any metal objects. Spills should be cleaned immediately to prevent food from becoming stuck on the surfaces and then reheated.
KINDLY WATER OUR PLANTS ON THE BALCONY AS OFTEN AS NEEDED TO KEEP THEM MOIST IN THE HEAT. A watering jug can be found under the kitchen sink.
FRONT ROOM ALONGSIDE ENTRANCE
Here you will find the vacuum cleaner, broom, pail and ironing board on the right hand door of the wall cabinet. Behind the left two doors are personal belongings of ours, that are not to be tampered with.
You could use this room as an additional sleeping area, using blow up mattresses that are in the second bedroom wardrobe.
The Jacuzzi does not function. Please keep the drain plugged when the tub is not in use, to prevent any insects to from getting out. (very rare but unpleasant…)
When using the dryer, kindly place the hose out the window and close the window partially/gently to press against the hose so that it does not fly back into the bathroom from the force of air when operating. CLOSE THE WINDOW when the drying cycle is complete bringing the hose inside to rest on the window sill.
Cleaning materials are to be found in the cupboard under the sink. Laundry detergent is in the right side cupboard.
The light switch is operated by pulling on the cord to the right of the mirror. (The main light switch is on the wall as you enter the master bedroom area -3rd from left – this should be left on at all times).
The beds are recliner beds operated by buttons on an attachment hooked on the sides of the beds. Single fitted bottom sheets fit these mattresses. The duvet cover though is queen size and you can either use this just as a sheet or put the beige queen size blanket inside or on top.
You will see a transformer on the triangular corner table. You can plug in North American, low power appliances here that are 110 v.
The sofa has a trundle under, to open to two single beds. Feel free to move the furniture around to suit.
Again you can use the duvet cover as a sheet to cover or put the floral blanket inside or on top.
Bed linens and buttercup-yellow towels for your use, are in the right side of the wardrobe. Please note sheets/covers for the single beds in the second bedroom and the ones for the master bedroom (fitted single bottom sheets but queen size covers)
There are also two blow up mattresses in blue bags – pump is provided. Extra bedding is to be found on the shelves. You can pump electrically by plugging in to the 110 V transformer in the master bedroom
KINDLY PUT BLANKETS INSIDE THE DUVET COVERS OR ON TOP OF THE DUVET COVER, SO AS TO AVOID HAVING TO WASH THEM ON A WEEKLY BASIS, AS ONE WOULD THE SHEETS.

OUR PERSONAL BELONGINGS
We have put some of our belongings on upper shelves in the master bedroom closet room and in the second bedroom cabinet.
Behind the two left doors of the wall cabinet in the front small room, we have also stacked boxes of our personal belongings. We trust you will respect these and not tamper with them.

Die Wohnung ist sehr gut gelegen, wunderschöne Aussicht. Die Wohnung ist sehr geschmackvoll und besonders großzügig für 2-3 Erwachsene bzw. 2 Erwachsene+2 Kinder eingerichtet. Insbesondere ist die hervorragende Ausstattung von Wohnzimmer und Küche zu erwähnen, Geschirr, Betttücher, Ersatzhandtücher, Strandtücher, Strandtasche...alles und in ausreichender Menge vorhanden, Badezimmer sind zweckmäßig . Frühstücken auf dem Balkon ein tägliches Erlebnis! Übergabe und Abnahme haben sehr gut geklappt. Wir hatten eine sehr schöne Zeit!

My husband and I spent a fabulous week in June 2014 in this apartment which is situated in a most lovely neighborhood in the southern end of Netanya. The spacious, beautifully furnished apartment was even nicer than the description provided on airbnb. Seeing is believing. The rooms are spacious. There was a wonderful breeze coming in, such that, even in June, we rarely needed the air-conditioning. From the balcony, we had an unobstructed view of the sea and loved watching the sunset from that vantage point. It was easy to deal with Shabtay before our stay and his daughter, who lives close by, met us when we took possession. We were easily able to contact her through the week with any questions we had. Ramat Poleg is a quiet neighborhood, away from the hustle and bustle of city life. There is a relatively new mall called Ir Yamim which is 5 minutes away by car and it features restaurants, boutiques, a grocery store and even a bowling ally. Of course the beach is just a 15 minute walk away from the apartment. It was a wonderful feeling to simply walk from the apartment, straight to the beach and right into the sea. My husband did some telecommuting during our stay. The desk in the extra bedroom was quite helpful, as was the wifi which we found to be fast and reliable. I'd highly recommend this rental to anyone.
The apartment is very well located and easy to live in. Interactions with the owner were smooth and easy. We wish we will visit it again in the future.
I am a retired Electronics Engineer that spends the summers in Toronto and the winters in Israel...not the other way around... :).
