HOME has something for everyone. Our property is filled with board games books, and other resources focused on permaculture, community building, and personal healing, making it the perfect place to serene escape from the city.

You'll have access to your private room as well as the main house and our 11 acre property which include a walking trail along a beautiful stream. We also plan to launch a TV lounge and co-working space in the near future.

Healing Our Mined Ecology was established in 2019 in a magical place called Nevada City. As San Francisco transformed over the past decade, I somehow lost that sense of belonging that had first beckoned me to the city. I set off to find my way HOME. Growing up in a small mountain town before, I left for San Francisco at the first chance I had. While there, I studied film and psychology at San Francisco State, and later I went on to get a Masters In Journalism at UC Berkeley. During the decade-and-a-half I called The City home, I witnessed my sense of belonging unravel. After a course of exploration and introspection, I set out to create a large-scale eco-village called Symbio.City, a 5,000-person enclave built on the principles of permaculture, regeneration and celebration. While that audacious vision never quite got off the ground, I discovered the town of Nevada City somewhere along the way and decided to scale down this vision for an eco-city into an intimate village called HOME.
