Escape to an authentic luxury treehouse designed by B’Fer Roth of DIY Network’s Treehouse Guys and built by The Treehouse Guys. Hidden on a private wooded road with no neighbors in sight, this unique retreat borders 626 acres of Bucks Ledge Community Forest with 7 miles of trails right outside your door. Enjoy peaceful seclusion just 15 minutes to Sunday River, 5 minutes to Mt. Abram, and 10 minutes to Bethel for the perfect mix of adventure and relaxation.

The space
Featured by Outside Magazine, Levi Kelly (Tiny BnB & Levi Kelly Tours), Visit Maine, and Bethel Living Magazine, Ski Haus Treehouse is a one-of-a-kind four-season luxury retreat celebrated for its distinctive design and unforgettable guest experience. Fully insulated for year-round comfort, this magical 300-square-foot getaway is perfect for a romantic escape, honeymoon, girls’ trip, or memorable family adventure. While it can sleep up to four adults, the cozy layout is best suited for couples or couples with up to two children. With a heat pump for both heating and AC, plus an automatic generator, you’ll stay comfortable in every season.
Your experience begins as you climb six steps built into a large boulder and arrive at the lower deck, where a handcrafted ski bar and cedar hot tub create the ultimate après-ski setting. From there, a custom spiral staircase leads to the front deck, where two living trees rise through the structure—part of the four trees that support this incredible home.
Inside, you’ll find a thoughtfully designed space that combines rustic charm with modern comfort. The fully stocked kitchen includes everything needed to prepare meals, from cookware to olive oil and spices. A full bathroom with plumbing and a rain shower offers all the comforts of home, elevated—literally.
The cozy living nook features swivel chairs, a record player with classic vinyl, a ukulele, games, and a game table for relaxing evenings in. A small loft lounge offers a couch that converts into either two twin beds or one queen bed, making it a flexible sleeping or reading space. Please note that access is via a flush wall ladder, which may be challenging for some guests.
The stunning primary loft is accessed by a sturdy ship’s ladder and sits over 30 feet high among Eastern Hemlocks. Here, a luxurious queen bed and eight surrounding windows create a dreamy canopy retreat perfect for snowfall, or fall foliage views.
Outside, three separate decks invite you to fully embrace nature. The spacious rear deck features a hammock, outdoor couch, bistro table, and even another tree growing through the deck itself—perfect for sunset wine, morning coffee, or peaceful forest views.
Ski Haus Treehouse was built with heart, creativity, and a love for unforgettable experiences. More than just a stay, it’s a chance to reconnect, unwind, and create lasting memories high among the trees.

Guest access
You will have the entire place to yourself.

Other things to note
• The treehouse has excellent cell service and high-speed fiber optic internet, but there is no TV (on purpose)—perfect for unplugging and enjoying nature.
• While North Pond is just 500 feet away and you may hear the loons, there is no private dock or direct swimming/boat launch access from the property. A public put-in for kayaks, paddleboards, and canoes is located about ½ mile away (walk or drive).
• A tandem kayak, paddles, life jackets, and transport straps are provided at no extra cost. Guests are responsible for transporting the kayak to the put-in. Local outfitters also offer boat rentals, delivery, and Androscoggin River float trips.
• Because the treehouse is built in living trees (3 Hemlocks and 1 Maple), natural debris like hemlock needles may collect on outdoor decks. Please remove shoes at the door to help keep the space clean.
• This is a true treehouse experience—during windy conditions, you may notice slight movement or minor natural sounds as the engineered structure adjusts with the trees.
• Due to lofts, ladders, elevated decks, and an unlocked hot tub, the treehouse is not be ideal for children under 6. Children must be closely supervised at all times.
• Strictly no smoking or vaping anywhere in or on the property.
• Absolutely no pets allowed.

Neighborhood highlights

The treehouse is located on a private dirt road. You will not have any neighbors in sight and the treehouse is a stand alone property. The treehouse is located approximately 1/4 miles down the road and can get a little slick at times in winter and early spring but is plowed and sanded. It would be helpful to have AWD or 4WD during larger snowstorms and in early spring but not necessary.
