The Vintage Whinery is what we affectionately call our home. Your hostesses, Sheila and Rachel, are artists-in-residence on the second floor. We strive to keep our space dedicated to art, music and inspiration...where visitors can enjoy a uniquely decorated apartment that is a mere 15-minute walk to the American Falls and the Rainbow Bridge to Canada. With a valid passport, you can cross the bridge and enjoy the Canadian Falls as well.
Guests have the luxury of enjoying the entire downstairs flat with two bedrooms (one queen, one full bed), a full kitchen and private bath and entry. Located in a quiet residential neighborhood, accessible to the local bus lines, you can often hear the roar of the Falls early in the morning. An assortment of teas and coffee are always available for you in the kitchen. Feel free to cook in-house, or bring back some local delicacies to enjoy. We provide a continental breakfast each day before you venture out to sightsee.
A local wine bar just three short blocks away offers fine food, great wine selection and occasional live music. Niagara's new culinary school offers upscale cuisine and the wait staff is eager to please. There are several local and ethnic restaurants, a liquor store, a post office and convenience store within walking distance. If you're feeling lucky, the Seneca Niagara Casino is a five-minute walk away.
Expect Friday and Sunday fireworks, viewable on an evening walk, frequent summer street festivals or free concerts in the historic Falls district sponsored frequently by The Hard Rock Cafe near the Falls.
You will enjoy your privacy when occupying this entire apartment which is also a perfect venue for musical concerts, photo shoots, family get-togethers, or just a beautiful, peaceful resting spot during your visit to the Mighty Niagara Falls. We are available to chat or answer your questions, and we are LGBT and pet friendly. There is street parking right in front of our place and we offer free WiFi. Free firelog or attended fireplace during winter months.
We will host a maximum of 4 people (with no exceptions) per reservation.
Overall our stay at Sheila's apartment was awesome. Her quirky and artsy decoration sure gives the place a special twist.
Sheila has also been an excellent host, very communicative and welcoming. She even went out of her way to bring us coffee, juice and breakfast.
Thanks again, very pleasant stay!
Sheila was a great hostess
Thanks to Sheila, we were able to make a last-minute trip to Niagara happen oh so smoothly. She acted fast on our behalf to ready rooms and everything else. We appreciate you, Sheila!
Sheila was an absolutely wonderful host, and you can really tell the amount of heart and effort that was put into decorating her beautiful home. After any length of travelling, the Vintage Whinery feels like an absolute luxury for two, and a home away from home for a family.
Sheila's abode was nothing short of magical... The French decor and intricate details really made last weekend memorable for me and my girlfriend. Sheila was a gracious hostess and even prepared breakfast for us and was extremely informative about the neighborhood. I look forward to visiting again soon!
Unfortunately, our stay has been delayed due to family emergency. Sheila has made this delay easy and has been most gracious. I look forward to our eventual stay.
Where can I start? It was just a awsome time at sheila's place!! We was all fall in live with her beautiful apartment and we was so warm welcome that we all wish we can stay longer to be at this beautiful and lovley place. It was just feel like we are at home. Thank you sheila!
Sheila's property was right adjacent to Niagara Falls (from US side). The house was very clean and well maintained. The beds were comfortable, and she offered to provide additional air mattress as well. Too bad we couldn't try out Sheila's special breakfast due to time constraint. We enjoyed the stay. Thanks for hosting us!
Very nice place, very comfortable. Our hosts left a log to burn in the firepkace and were very friendly. Convienently located, just a short walk from the Rainbow Bridge and a delucious pizza place, recommended by our hosts.
We arrived in the evening to stay one night with Sheila. Although we told her we would be there at a certain time, a few pit stops down the road delayed us but she was very accomodating to help us meet up with her. Upon arrival she gave us a lowdown of the city with a map and helpful directions as well as a tour of her lovely home with a batch of warm coookies in the kitchen she had baked for us. She also offered to make us breakfast and if so what time (the breakfast was amazing!!!) After the tour we went down to the falls and took photos as well as ate at one of the restaurants recommended. The house is so close to the falls! The location did look at bit shady but we had no issues walking around. The place is very cozy and felt very romantic for myself and my travel companion. I would definitely recommend this place for anyone visiting the falls and may just have to travel there again to see tgis place
