Beautiful area

Guests love this home’s scenic location.
Enjoy a Puget Sound getaway while trying out tiny living. This tiny house is set on a one acre waterfront lot in a rural wooded setting. It has the amenities of home, just in smaller size. Access the beach via our private trail, paddle our kayaks, stargaze from the loft skylight, or hike the woodland trails at the state park close by. 15 mins to downtown Olympia, 8 mins to Lacey.

The space
The Bayside Bungalow tiny house is perched on a hill above a shoreline bluff, with peek-a-boo views of the Puget Sound, nestled between fruit trees and surrounded by a lush garden and tall fir trees. A private trail with steps leads down the bluff to our private beach and kayaks. This is a great place to relax, listen to the birds, wander the beach & hike through lush forest.

Tiny house amenities:
~Kitchen with mini fridge, cooktop, microwave & pour-over coffee setup & cookware such as pots and pans, utensils, knives, plates, cups, etc.
~Pantry essentials: Oil, balsamic vinegar, sugar, coffee, tea, & spices
~Mini gas fireplace & electric heater
~Sleeping loft with full size bed & stargazing skylight, accessed by ladder
~Natural soaps & shampoos
~RV-sized shower
~Hot water from an RV-style 6-gallon tank
~Hairdryer
~Nature's Head urine-diverting, hand crank composting toilet (designed for boats)
~Tiny house books & info
~Northwest guidebooks & travel info
~Mini games
~Private beach access via a switchback trail with steps on the property
~Kayaks, paddles & life jackets so you can explore the shoreline
~Private fire ring near the tiny house (Note: there is often a fire ban during summer months)
~WiFi with speed sufficient for streaming & web browsing, but not guaranteed to be suitable for videoconferencing due to remote nature of the home.

There is no sink in the tiny bathroom. Unfortunately, the house is not suitable for children. Adults only please.

Guest access
Enjoy a campfire at the fire ring near the tiny house. There is a hammock in the warmer months for your use, hung between two fruit trees. You'll have the upper yard to yourself; the lower yard is reserved for other guests' use, but you may walk through the lower yard to access the beach. The beach is accessed via a short trail with steps down the bluff on our property. Kayaks, paddles & life jackets are provided for you to roam the shoreline afloat. Tolmie State Park is a stone's throw away, which has a beautiful estuary for kayaking through and several miles of hiking trails. A private parking area is provided for 2 compact vehicles, and street parking is available as well. This property is shared with my parents who live in a log home on the 1-acre lot, and with guests in a small cottage that they rent out as well.

Other things to note
Unique features of the tiny house:

~Ceiling clearance in the kitchen is 6’ 2”.

~Climbing in and out of the loft bed on a narrow, steep ladder requires agility and balance. See the photos in this listing and consider whether you will be able to climb up and down from the loft without putting yourself in danger.

~Minimum Night Stays: I encourage longer stays by only accepting 4+ night stays for dates more than a month away. 2-3 nights are bookable within a month of arrival, and 1 night stays bookable within one week of arrival.

~Wait list: If nights you are interested in are not yet available for a shorter stay, feel free to ask to be put on a waiting list.

~Pets are not allowed. Violation of the no-pets policy will incur a full charge of the security deposit.

~The Bungalow was built by your host Brittany & is based on the Cypress design from the Tumbleweed Tiny House Company.
