Welcome to Our Home! I am JD Rathore, owner of Ikaki Niwas. My family and I look after this home and the guests who come to stay with us. My father, Dr. Thakur G S Rathore, constructed this house about 40 years ago and recently it was refurbished and renovated with comfortable beds, new LCD televisions, and modern baths. Our family belongs to the royal Rajpoot community, and prior to India’s independence, our great grandfather was chieftain in the Bikaner state of Rajasthan. We are well-educated and we’ll be happy to share and discuss what we know about India over a cup of coffee or at the dinner table.

  • We had a wonderful stay at JD and Devika's Guest House. The hosts and their staff are extremely friendly, helpful and are completely focused.on attending to the needs of their guests. The rooms are very comfortable, the setting is at the end a beautiful quiet street next to a park and there is also a great space on the roof for hanging out, having a meal or taking a dip in the rooftop pool. Highly recommend.

  • Boutique Accommodation was even more tastefully decorated than the photographs. My room was spacious, very comfortable and the entire house had a certain charm. The staff were very endearing and could not do enough for you. The meals were delicious and you could ask for anything you wanted. Jaideo was so helpful in organizing cars, an excellent Tuk Tuk, and suggestions of where to go. The price was reasonable and I extended my stay as I was so comfortable there. I can highly recommend this place without hesitation. Thank you Jaideo for a memorable and relaxing time.

  • I really enjoyed staying here. JD and his wife Devika really do their best to make you feel welcome and comfortable. Also the staff, especially Raju and Omgi are very friendly and kind. The rooms were clean and comfortable. They are also not too small which is nice. The food at the house was always wonderful. I ate here everyday and really enjoyed it. In terms of location this house is a bit further from the centre but easy to get to with a rickshaw or taxi. I actually preferred this because after a hectic day in Jaipur, you can relax somewhere peaceful and there is a beautiful terrace area outside. I already miss everyone from this home and I hope to stay here again. My only complaint was the Internet as I was travelling for work and it was very unpredictable.

  • A wonderfully relaxing place to stay. We couldn't have wished for more. After having stayed in some very remote and basic homes this felt like such a treat. The room was airy, beautifully decorated, food lovely, host very gracious.

  • As promised, JD arranged a wonderful driver (Rajik) to meet us at the airport and take us to JD's most beautiful Boutique Hotel. JD and his wife and their trusty staff were highly attentive, friendly and kind. The beds and sheets were super comfy and we slept so well. Rooftop terrace was incredible. The town was amazing.. Rafik also took us to the Amber Palace and around. We had a fun BBQ on the rooftop the first night with a big group who were also staying.. as well, we made friends from all over the world. Brekkies were great.. JD's wife was lovely.. we felt like family. All 3 guys including JD woke up at around 5am to give us wake up call and breakfast and see us off. Location was good.. nice park next door. The property is safe. I HIGHLY recommend this property and these wonderful warm people.
