The Space

A comfortable, quiet, recently renovated apartment in the heart of Milano: few minutes far from Duomo and from Navigli (the old channels neighborhood), between Bocconi University, State University and IED. Also not far from NABA, Domus Academy, Accademia di Brera and Istituto Marangoni.
The neighborhood, green, well located, and very well served by public transports is among the safest in town and is at the same time populated by bars, restaurants and shops, what makes it particularly lively and interesting.
The apartment is on the first floor of an elegant building, with windows overlooking the courtyard, very quiet, and is composed of a living/dining room, a small galley, a bathroom with tub and shower, and a convenient dressing/study/night area loft.
Beds are three: two on the mezzanine, in the bedroom, which can be joined into a double bed or split into two separate single beds, on request; and one single bed in the living area on the ground floor, in the large sofa bed.
Available to guests are bed, bath and kitchen linens, a fan for each floor, a washing machine, a clothes rack, a hairdryer, refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher, gas stove and all cooking equipment, food necessities and cleaning agents, hot water and heating, WiFi connection.
In the apartment guests will also find the map of Milano with public transports scheme to move easily in the city, and a timetable of trains an buses to the main airports.
A few meters from the house there is a supermarket and a laundromat, restaurants, bars and shops, as well as the subway station of Porta Romana, tram 9 and 16, and bus 77, 62 and 84. Very close to home you'll also find two bikeMi stations: the best way to bike around town.

The hosts will be happy to provide information and advice about practical life or recreation in Milano and, if required, will accompany guests on a first exploration of the neighborhood, or visiting the most important monuments, museums, and attractions of the town.

Check-in time is after 3:00 PM and check-out before 10:00 AM, but if there are no other guests arriving or leaving on the same day, it can be flexible.
Check-in late at night and in the early morning, between 9:00 PM and 10:00 AM, will have a 50€ extra charge.

- For those arriving by train from Milano Centrale: take the yellow line of metro towards San Donato and get off at Porta Romana (7 stops).
- Arriving from Linate airport: take bus 73 towards San Babila and get off at Piazza Cinque Giornate (12 stops); there take tram 9 direction Porta Genova, until the stop of Viale Monte Nero/Via Pier Lombardo (3 stops).
- For those arriving from Malpensa and Orio al Serio airport: take the bus or train to Milano Central Station and from there the yellow line of the metro in the direction of San Donato. Get off at Porta Romana (7 stops).
- If you arrive by car: from the bypass exit "Corvetto", then from Piazzale Corvetto take corso Lodi and go straight, up to piazza Medaglie d'Oro (Porta Romana); once there turn right into Viale Monte Nero.

  • Nice small apartment, obviously dedicated to rental and rather well situated in Milan. It is just as described. Anna Viola is a kind host, very easy to communicate with, and also flexible. I would recommend it for a short trip to Milan.

  • Excellent location, close to line 9 (tramway) and underground (yellow line). Clean, quiet and cosy small appartment (not for tall and big people!). Anna Viola was very helpful, efficient and sympatic. A big deal.

  • Anna Viola was very helpfull and she was in the apartment to welcome us. The location is just perfect. Nice restaurants and supermarket nearby and short distance to everything - Mi Bike station just up the road. Easy to sign up by internet. Small, but well equipped.

  • Anna Viola's cozy historic apartment is well situated for easy access to great food and sightseeing. The spotlessly clean space has everything you could need, and the comfortable bed with fine linens was a delightful bonus! Anna herself is charming, friendly, and provides some great suggestions for food and night life. This was one of those lucky finds while traveling Europe!

  • I'm very satisfied with my 2-night-stay at AnaViola's place. It's conveniently located near the metro (5mn to Piazza del Duomo), and it has everything needed, from the little bathtub to wifi.
And the most important, our host has been wonderful, she helped us with all the necessary info about Milano ! Thank you Ana Viola :)

  • Conveniently located, flat is very good. The only issue is that the wi-fi doesn't work very well and most of the time we had no wi-fi access.

    Response from AnnaViola:

Dear Peggy we tested the wifi together at your arrival and you told me all was working very well. I normally have two different options for the wifi, because I know well that some owners of MacBook Air, like yours, may have problems: not only with mine but with all wifi connections, as Apple also well knows (if you (website hidden), you will easily find that the problem is well known). If you only had told me it, we would have very easily found the solution with the second wifi line! I did send you several messages on your telephone, email, and also here on (website hidden)box, asking you if everything was fine and if you needed anything, but you never responded: a good communication is always the basis of good perfomances an good outcomes, and this in every circumstance of life! :)

  • This is an adorable and charming apartment in a quiet neighborhood. It is well connected by trams, and one can walk to the historic centre of the city in about 30 minutes. The apartment looks out onto a pretty courtyard, and thus is free of traffic and street noise--everything is very easy to manage and the hostess, Viola, could not be kinder.
