Away from it all but close to everything the area has to offer; private entrance; private kitchen, covered sunset porch, self contained 2 bedroom suite, high-speed internet, private bathroom on 100 acre homestead; secluded swimming pond and walking trails!
Located midway between Seneca and Cayuga Lakes ; short drive to ; Trumansburg, Ithaca, Watkins Glen, Corning; Waterfalls, gorgeous gorges, hiking trails, restaurants, lakes, museums, orchards and wineries!
All wood floors with area rugs; exposed beams; attached to early 1800's farmhouse on 100 acres with private wooded trails, berries, wildflowers, garden, orchard, private secluded chemical free spring fed swimming pond; free range chickens. fresh eggs daily in season !

Our homestead is midway between beautiful Seneca (8miles) and (10miles) Cayuga Lake; vineyards and wine-tasting; and just a few miles to the Finger lakes National Forest, short ride (2 miles) to Silver Queen Farm for strawberry and raspberry picking; 4 miles to Glennhaven Farm for blueberry picking and wine tasting!

Explore in autumn ; grape pie ; Naples grape festival, nearby orchards for apple picking; cider; Ithaca Sound Maze and a variety of autumn corn mazes and Halloween offerings.

We are conveniently out of town, yet minutes to downtown Ithaca, Trumansburg, Watkins Glen and Corning.
Enjoy local food, music, community and crafts at the Trumansburg Farmers Market (weds 4-7pm) and Ithaca Farmers Markets (sat and sun);
8 miles to Trumansburg center;
12 miles west of Ithaca and 8 East of Watkins Glen; The Farm Sanctuary is just 15 minutes to Watkins Glen, Taughannock Falls, Treman and Buttermilk Falls State Park are all just a short drive!
Enjoy a variety of local restaurants; in downtown Ithaca; the famous Moosewood, Just a Taste, Diamonds New Delhi, Tamarind for Thai food, Coltivare, and the Ithaca Brewery just to name a few!And nearby towns and Lakes region are some favorites;
The Stone Cat, Hazelnut Kitchen , Red Newt, Berta's for (breakfast and lunch), the Hive, Little Venice, Good to Go and Gimme Coffee in Trumansburg and Americana and The Fingerlakes Cider House are just a short drive;
Seneca and Cayuga Lake Wine Trail are 8 miles in either direction; The Ithaca State, Hangar Theater, Great music; and restaurants, 35 min to the Corning Museum of Glass +++

Upon arrival all guests may find some variety of the following depending on the season and situation; coffee, teas and seasonal treats; apple cider, fresh pressed grape juice, local cheese samplings, grape pie, fresh local bread. Local wine tasting by request..

We tap our Maple trees in winter and are a 15 min drive to the Cayuga Nature Center; a wonderful place to visit during maple season; come for the Maple Fest in March; or any time to climb the 4 story tree house and visit the animal room!
Strawberry picking in June; blueberries in July; Apples in the fall and Winter Fest and The Nutcracker in December; Ice festival ; ice carving, Light in Winter Festival and the Chowder Fest on the Ithaca Commons in winter make this beautiful region and our home a year round destination.

We are a family living on the property; The rental space is a child friendly space; rugged terrain jogger; high chairs and additional accoutrements for your family upon request.

16 hens and 2 roosters; Irish wolf hound and magical fluffer manx cat on the premises. The apt is a smoke and chemical free zone.

Swim, kayak, bike and hike in summer, Apple and grape picking in the fall, Walk a corn maze, visit the Ithaca sound maze in October and enjoy the fall foliage and harvest time. Catch a play at the Hangar or Kitchen Theater or a concert at the Ithaca State!

Or do nothing and just relax and enjoy a quiet restful getaway!

beautiful and diverse setting; and community; physically surrounded by lakes and farms and diverse wildlife; birds, plants, deer, foxes, coyotes.

From a social standpoint our community is rich with scientists and artists, educators, conservationists, farmers and orchardists and winemakers.

We are minutes from the National Forest, gorges, waterfalls, lakes and with easy access to museums (the Johnson Art Museum in Ithaca, Science Center, Museum of the Earth), concerts, theater and restaurants.

While visiting one may arrange for a nearby horseback trail ride, hike the gorges, venture to local cheese artisans, potters, Amish markets; passing tractors and horse drawn carriages, cows, goats, sheep, alpacas. Kayaking or sailing on beautiful Cayuga and Seneca Lakes for the day, wine tasting and later that same day catch a concert and dinner and stroll through downtown Ithaca.

It is best to have access to a car.

Although we do have free ranging hens, cat and dog; on the premises ;
The rental space is impeccably deep cleaned in between all guests and no pets enter there during your stay !

We provide rubber boots, window fans, air conditioner in summer and space heaters and addl cotton blankets.
if you know ahead of time that you have a preference or special request;
please do let us know.
We will do our best to set things up for you!
Evenings are generally cool up here;
with the exception of 2 weeks in mid summer!

Absolutely no smoking in the house!
Please do NOT leave any remnants if smoking outdoors and be discreet if children are about!

There are certain times when dinner reservations are encouraged and bc we are in a rural setting; it is approx 8-11 miles to nearby restaurants
if you are planning to eat out; we encourage reservations; the same is true if you plan to go horseback riding or sailing.

Rural; If you are the kind of person who likes to roll out of bed and first wander through a forest trail in the morning before heading out for the day or topping off your day w a sunset walk before bed then our place may be perfect for you!
We are a short drive to Watkins Glen, Trumansburg, downtown Ithaca ; Cornell University, Corning And Geneva!
We are located in a rural , Residential and Agricultural region!
Cows and lakes and vineyards to the West,
Pigs and strawberry farms to the north, Goats and Cayuga lake to the South
and Apple Orchards, Horses and Cayuga Lake to the East!

One of the great things about our place is that you can go horsebackriding or sailing in the morning , enjoy fresh eggs and a walk through the forest and then visit to one if the best farmers Markets in the USA; orchards, vineyards,
Catch a play at the Kitchen or Hangar Theatre, wander around downtown Ithaca, Attend a concert at the State theater or visit The Johnson Museum of Art or The Rockwell Museum or Museum of Glass in Corning!



We offer a cozy historic farmhouse setting w 96 acres to explore and we are located right between beautiful Seneca and Cayuga Lakes!
We are in a rural/agricultural/residential area and yet 15-40 minutes guests can be in downtown ithaca, at the Finger Lakes Cider House, Corning Museum of Glass, Cornell campus and The Johnson Museum ; enjoying a concert at the State or Hangar or Kitchen Theatre, sailing, kayaking, horseback riding in the National Forest or wine tasting on the shores of Seneca and Cayuga !
