My wife and I stayed at Sharon's place, along with our dog, for two nights to explore the Brattleboro area. We found great restaurants and shops downtown, went to the awesome farmer's market, and did a half-day loop drive through Newfane, Manchester, Bennington, and Wilmington. Sharon gave us great advice on what to do and see, and her place is perfectly situated to see everything in the area. Not to mention her house itself is lovely and perfect for enjoying a glass of wine on the patio. We found it to be exactly "as advertised" in the description. Thanks Sharon, we had a great time and the food was delicious and memorable!
Sharon was most gracious and accommodating. We will definitely stay with her our next trip to Brattleboro!
I felt like I was staying in a friend of a friend's house. It was my daughters' and my first experience staying with someone who was in her own home while we were visiting. Sharon's house has a warm and welcoming vibe. I love seeing neighborhoods to get a sense of what life in the town we are visiting would be like. My dog and her dog played. It was strangely familiar. Very easy and comfortable. Her breakfast was beautiful, lovingly crafted and delightful. We sat outside overlooking her flowers and pond and felt very much at home.
Sharon was very welcoming and friendly. The room and bed were comfortable. The bathroom was very close by. We brought our bikes to ride around the river. Very easy going down, definitely more challenging riding up. We ended up walking the bikes back. This was our first stay. Very convenient to downtown. The breakfast was delicious as well. My one concern was with the shower pressure. It was on the low side. I was happy that I didn't need to wash my hair.
Our stay was one of the best in my recent memories. The listed room is clean, cordial and beautifully decorated. Sharon was extremely friendly and helpful in hosting us despite the busy weekend. We talked long (hopefully didn't take up too much of her time) over the breakfast about the area among many other things. Her dog, Marlowe, was adorable and welcoming and we loved to play with him. The house is surrounded by beautiful woods and fields and it is worth a morning walk especially in the foliage season. Last but not least, Sharon's baked apple was amazing. We would definitely like to revisit her place if we got a chance.
Sharon was working long hours during our visit, catering two weddings, but was never less than gracious, genuine and welcoming. Her place is beautiful and the breakfasts were fabulous...highly recommended!
Although we arrived during the later part of the evening Sharon welcomed us into her beautiful artistic home. She gave us time to settle into our rooms before she offered us her delicious homemade coconut, raspberry, lemon cake. It felt like we were at home enjoying the company of new friends along with freshly brewed mint tea. Not to mention the mint was from Sharon's lovely garden. Sharon was a perfect host. She even offered for us to use her cozy living room to unwind and watch a little bit of TV before retiring for bed. In the morning, Sharon greeted us with a delicious gourmet breakfast complete with fried green tomatoes, omelets and coffee before our early departure.
