Tastefully decorated, with comfortable modern furniture and oversized sliding glass doors, this space provides the perfect opportunity for families/friends to gather while enjoying beautiful views of the lake, from early morning to mid-afternoon. With a 50 inch roku smart TV, books, and board games for the kids and adults, you will find plenty to keep you occupied during your vacation. The living area also features a futon with brand new memory foam mattress, making sleeping 8 guests possible.

Each bedroom includes new comfortable mattresses, luxury pima cotton sheets, cozy blankets and pillows for your comfort. All bedrooms are outfitted with blackout blinds, so you can sleep in and relax on vacation! The bedrooms are on the upper level, giving you the privacy and quiet you might need while the early risers whip up a mean breakfast. Reading lights with USB charging by the nightstand in each of the bedrooms let you charge your phone while you catch up on your favorite book/novel as you doze off into your dreams in the comfortable beds.

The first bedroom to your left once you walk up the stairs, this room features a queen bed, full size mirror, and garment rack.

Housed on the lake side on the upper level, overlooking the lake. Treat yourself to a great night’s sleep in one of the 3 beds. A King, Queen and Twin bed await you in this oversized room. For those of you who need a spot to work, this room features a work desk overlooking the lake.

Both bathrooms feature luxury hand soap and the full bath boasts complimentary toiletries. The full bath features towels, face and wash cloths, and provides the space everyone in your group needs to refresh and rejuvenate. The shower area is outfitted with a shampoo/conditioner and soap to cater to your hygienic needs.

Easily prepare meals in the well-equipped kitchen, featuring sleek stainless-steel appliances and all the cookware/dishes you need. The kitchen is fully stocked with baking sheets, crock pots, pots and pans, cutting boards, air fryer, waffle iron, cocktail tools, and double walled stainless steel wine tumblers for every person in your party so you can enjoy cool drinks in the hot tub. Treat family and friends with your culinary creations in the adjacent dining room or on the back patio overlooking the lake.
For the early bird(s), fix yourself a cuppa joe and lounge by the reading nook or step outside the patio door to enjoy your morning coffee on the private deck while witnessing a breathtaking sunrise.
★★ Patio/Deck ★★
Find yourself taking in the fresh air as you step out to the deck on the main level. The sliding doors from the living area open up to a private deck. Sip on your morning coffee, enjoy your breakfast, lunch or dinner at the outdoor table. The spacious deck out back features a large propane grill for family feasts. The deck offers some outdoor privacy thanks to ample tree coverage and only one neighboring house. It also features breathtaking views of the beautiful private lake.
★★ Side Yard ★★
Take a dip in the hot tub at night and gaze up at the stars, or fire up the smokeless fire pit and roast some s'mores. This area also leads to the stair down to the lakefront where you can fish of the dock, launch one of our 2 kayaks or tie off your boat. Bring your boats and jetskis or rent them in town!
★★Lake Access & Community Heated Pool★★
The Lake Arrowhead neighborhood encompasses private all-sports Buhl lake. Near Anita's Park (see Map in pictures) there is a boat launch available for guests and just a block away from that is a swim area with raft. Anita's Park features a heated pool (open Memorial day weekend through Labor Day Weekend, no access pass needed just walk on in!), pavilion with fireplace and a basketball/pickle ball court. Bring your fishing poles, rackets, jet skis and boat & have a ball!
Guest access
All areas of the house available for guests to use outside of locked storage closets.
Front door has a keyless touchscreen lock. Code will be given morning of check-in.
While property and neighborhood are located on dirt roads, you should have no problem accessing the house. There is room to park 2 cars in front of the house and overflow parking at the neighborhood pool.
In winter months, four-wheel drive or all wheel drive is *strongly* recommended.
Other things to note
About the house:
This little green house is over 60 years old and has had many owners in its lifetime. While newly renovated: expect to find some loving wear, quirky ceiling heights (think A-Frame type ceilings) and charming patina both inside and out. You will also find luxury furnishings and modern amenities that marry beautifully with the age and style of the home.
Cell Service/Wi-fi:
Cell service is spotty in the neighborhood (T-Mobile/Sprint tend to work best) – this is a remote retreat so you can totally unplug if you want to, but fast wi-fi is available at the cottage and can support wifi calling/facetime/zoom calls! The pool and lake area also has free guest wifi.
Critters:
We are close to town and have all the modern amenities but are still in a rural, heavily wooded area. Deer, Bear, Chipmunks, Mice, Spiders, Ants and Mosquitos are around in the neighborhood. If you venture out on the trails, ticks are common in this area from April till September(we provide bug spray with varying levels of DEET for you to use in the cabinet above the mud room sink). Be aware that propping open doors, or leaving open windows without screens can let unwanted critters in, especially in the fall and winter when they are looking for a warm place to stay.
Location:
We are about 15-20 minutes from the nearest grocery store, I always recommend stoping to stock up before you make your way to the cottage.
Firewood:
We provide kindling to help your start a fire but we do not provide firewood. There are places along Hayes Tower road that sell wood by the bundle or many grocery/convenience stores in the area also sell it.
Pool:
The neighborhood outdoor pool is open seasonally from Friday before Memorial day through Labor Day. It is heated to a comfortable 82 degrees and located a short drive from the house. There is no towel service at the pool but we provide green and white beach towels and well as a beach bag, cooler and sunscreen (in the cabinet above mud room sink) for you to take with you to the pool. please no glass or food in the pool area, we provide plastic and stainless tumblers at the house for you to take your drinks with you to the pool! Enjoy!
Fenced Yard: We have a fully fenced side yard with the exception of where the back deck meets the house - this is intentional to allow access to our crawl space when needed. If you are bringing a dog, we have provided a movable pet gate that is in the mudroom that can be used to block off this area so your pup can't escape the yard.
Snow removal: For your safety and convenience during winter conditions, our snow removal crew may stop by periodically throughout your stay if snowfall exceeds 4 inches. This helps ensure the driveway and walkways remain clear and safe for you to come and go with ease.
