Enjoy a stylish, elegant experience at this centrally-located newly restored 2 bedroom apartment with 1.5 baths in a historic building built in 1881, placed on the National Register of Historic places in 2010. Unit is on the 2nd floor and has a private entrance. Step back in time and stay in Second-Empire mansard Victorian that retains beautiful original details/layout and help it's restoration. Perfect location where the Hudson Valley meets the Berkshires. I have 4 other listings available.

The space
This is a lovely, cozy space. Full Living Room, Eat-In Kitchen, a large Bathroom with 4ft shower, 1 King bedroom with a large closet and 1 Queen bedroom with a private half-bath. There is a small deck outside the private entrance which is on the second floor. Access to the unit is by a wood deck-like staircase overlooking a stone patio. The unit is in the west wing of a former historic hotel. A twin rolly bed is available upon advance request for a fifth person.

We're right in the center of the historic hamlet of Hillsdale, NY which is on the National Register of Historic Places. All amenities are within walking distance. We're right up the hill from the Harlem Valley Rail Trail and 3 miles from Catamount Mountain Resort. We have three amazing five star restaurants within 7-8 miles (The Greens, John Andrews, and the Old Mill). The Mount is the best place in town! It is walking distance to a great grocery store, Roe Jan Brewing Co., Cook and Larder Food Shop, Sweet Pea's Diner, Passiflora, Hillsdale General Store, Home Chef Cooking School and more. It is 10 miles from Great Barrington, MA and 18 miles from Hudson, 17 miles from Millerton, NY and 14 miles from Chatham.

Fate has made me the steward of a landmark built in 1881 called the Mount Washington House. This 14,000 sq ft Second Empire Mansard Victorian is located in the center of Hillsdale, and was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2010. My parents were from Brewster and bought the house in 1972. Collectively we operated a bar/restaurant/room rentals continuously for 48 years until the pandemic changed the world.
