Cross Creek Luxury Couples Cabin is a one of a kind, romantic, get-away for two just 3 miles from the Blueridge Parkway. From its uniquely designed suspension over top of a creek, lighted boardwalk path through the woods that ramps up to the cabin amongst the trees giving it a true tree-house feel, 3 spacious decks for lounging and enjoying nature and the sounds of the roaring creek beneath you, to luxurious amenities galore inside and out. All in a secluded, private setting minutes from town!

The space
Imagined and designed by Jeff and Rhonda Tyler; this newly constructed, luxurious cabin is built on top of Little Stoney Creek! Concrete pillars support this cozy bedroom cabin10 feet above the creek among the trees. Decks on 3 sides of the cabin give you spectacular views and the sounds of the creek beneath you. The cabin is a 357 sq. foot room with king size bed ( windows on each side and above to enjoy the sound of the creek), love seat and coffee table, coffee station (Kuerig with pods, creamer sugar, Splenda, cocoa and tea provided) bar sink, microwave, crockpot, electric skillet, toaster oven, single burner with pot. There is also a gas grill on the deck and outdoor high top dining table for you to enjoy a romantic dinner for 2 on the creek! The bathroom , separated by a barn door, has a luxury tile shower with continuous hot water system, shampoo, conditioner and body wash, small open closet, and seating area for makeup and hair. This cabin is in the woods! There is no grass. The terrain is very rocky. Please wear appropriate footwear to avoid injury. It is a beautiful, natural spot. Chairs and fire pit stream side. Red cedar, wood-fired barrel hot tub on the deck, creek roaring beneath you.

You will be parking in a designated area and accessing the cabin via a wooden walkway through the woods. There is a keyless entry pad with code to get in

Other things to note
Cross Creek Couples Cabin is limited to 2 guests, 18 years and older. It is a small intimate setting designed for couples/ 2 adults. This is a firm policy. The cabin and rough terrain are not suitable for children. We do also have Rocreek Cabin on the property for families and children. Our cabins are dog friendly; however, due to the size of this cabin, we will only be allowing 2 dogs This is also a firm policy as well. There is an additional pet fee of $20 per pet per night and pets are not allowed on furniture or beds at any time. They must also be crated if left alone in the cabin. No exceptions. Reimbursement for Any damage caused by dogs will be the responsibility of the guest.

Neighborhood highlights

This is a secluded 9.5 acre property. Your cabin is on a parcel of this property. You will have complete privacy. However, we do have neighbors and ask that you be respectful of their and our properties and not trespass or let your dogs trespass during your exploration of the area. You are just minutes from the Blue Ridge Parkway , Peaks of Otter lake and Lodge and our quaint little town of Bedford where you will find antique and boutique shops, restaurants, museums and more. The cities of Roanoke and Lynchburg are just 40 minutes away. Day trips to Charlottesville ( wineries galore) Lexington, Natural Bridge and Appomattox if you love history! Endless outdoor activities ( hiking, fishing, biking, horseback riding, or kayaking/ tubing on the James in Buchanan about 25 minutes drive on the parkway. Lots to do and see!

My work: Hostess with the mostest!
Jeff and I are native Virginians. We met in college 38 years ago when we were freshmen in college at Old Dominion University. 3 dogs,2 children , 2 grandchildren and 3 homes later; we are still happily married and living our longtime dream of living in the mountains in a cabin! We moved to Bedford 8 years ago sooner than expected due to Jeff’s career. ( civil engineering). Not ready for retirement, we both secured jobs ( I-was a teacher) and settled into life in bedford. The slower pace and simpler lifestyle were just what we needed! I honestly can say I wish I had lived here my whole life! After teaching in Bedford for 4 years, we decided to start our next adventure early. We purchased adjacent land and began construction on Rocreek Cabin. I love to cook, bake and entertain, so I retired from a 30 year teaching career to host our rental full time. 2 years later we began construction on cabin # 2, a luxury ,couples treehouse cabin overtop of a stream (Cross Creek Luxury Couples Cabin) which opened Sept2022. We are so excited to make your stay with us a memory you will be talking about for years to come! See you at the cabins!
