Central Bali’s most famous cultural sites are within easy reach, including:
-Sanur Beach (approx. 12 miles)
-Kintamani & Lake Batur hot springs
-Temples like Besakih and Tanah Lot
-Seminyak, Legian & Kuta for beach day trips

Live Like a Local!
In Lodtunduh, you’ll witness the full rhythm of Balinese village life—from rice planting to harvest, colorful religious festivals, and traditional ceremonies. You may even catch a local cockfight (a cultural reality here). It’s all part of a vibrant, authentic Bali experience that’s worlds apart from the tourist buzz of Kuta or Seminyak.

For those wishing to cook for themselves, we are only 1 mile away from the main supermarket (Coco supermarket) so you'll be able to stock up with local provisions.

Enjoy the wonderful cycle of the rice paddies! Depending on when you visit you'll see the fascinating cycle of rice farming from preparing the fields, planting seedlings, thinning out the new rice, watching the ducks do their amazing dances, to harvesting, threshing and drying. It's one of the best things about visiting Harmony! The cycle is fascinating to watch no matter when you come!

Guest access
Sungai guests can use all the facilities. Harmony has a beautiful 15 meter infinity pool with unobstructed endless views right on the edge of the rice fields. It's perfect for laps or just hanging out and watching the sunset. The infinity pool is shared with the other villas but always feels private. Due to its size and differing guest schedules, you’ll find it's rare not to have it to yourself. All our villas are private and Sungai has an expansive deck with the best view in Ubud. You'll enjoy endless views as far as the eye can see from the pool and yoga deck.

Other things to note
We get asked often how long you should plan your stay in Ubud. Although you can get a flavor of the city and traditional Bali during your stay, we recommend booking at least 3 nights with us at Harmony to enjoy our relaxing villa and explore some of the literally hundreds of things to do in the amazing town of Ubud. We have discounted weekly rates too and you could stay a month and not run out of things to do!

Ubud is a gastronomic paradise with virtually every kind of food available just a few minutes from Harmony. Many offer take out and delivery, so you can eat in your villa, under the stars on your private deck, or on the pool deck.

Harmony is open to nature and you should expect visits from insects, geckos and lizards in our tropical climate. Be prepared to be close to nature in all its beauty..

Neighborhood highlights

Our village is a fascinating place to experience real Bali village life which can't be found in touristy areas such as Kuta or Seminyak. That's the lovely thing about our area of Lodtunduh village.

We're only a 2 minute walk to great local restaurants (warungs) in the village main street... and close to local spas, yoga studios (The Yoga Studio, Intuitive Flow, The Yoga Barn) and the many great restaurants in Ubud.

You'll likely encounter ceremonies, celebrations, weddings, a cremation perhaps (a big event in Bali) , the local temple festivals.
but most of all you'll see (depending on when you visit) the fascinating cycle of rice farming from preparing the fields, planting seedlings, thinning out the new rice, watching the ducks do their amazing dances, to harvesting, threshing and drying. You'll see the village men parade their fowl and perhaps experience a cockfight - while you may not approve, it's part of the culture here and if you are so inclined you can wager and maybe win!
