While we think the beach house is pretty incredible, we want to let you know some things that might not be ideal for some folks.
Our house is on the edge of a residential neighborhood right by the beach, the farmers market, a small hotel, and several popular restaurants and businesses. It's an excellent location and thus a lot of pedestrian traffic walks right by the house on their way to the beach or Pannikin for coffee. We have a fully fenced in front and back yard. The front yard fence is 48", which allows for sitting on the front porch and people-watching, and the backyard fence ranges from 6'-8', offering more privacy.
The house is also located one block from the train tracks, so there is some train noise, including at night. We have double paned windows, and do not find the noise troublesome, but we know there are some who sleep lighter than others. To that end, we provide quality sound machines in each bedroom. We also have ceiling fans in both king bedrooms, and provide earplugs for your use if you prefer.
The home has elevated decks in the front and back, at a height of 2.5', with 3 steps. In addition there is a staircase inside, leading up to the second story, with a loft, a king bedroom, and bathroom. These steps mean that our home is not well-suited for wheelchair access, or those who may have difficulty climbing stairs.

Hi there, I'm your host, Amber!
I would like to personally welcome you to our family's beach home in Encinitas. We are excited for you to stay in this dream home, and hope that you and your family have a wonderful vacation and enjoy it as much as our family does.
I've carefully curated the design and amenities to marry form and function, and make it easy to travel light but still have everything you need and want.
Our beach house underwent a complete down-to-the-studs remodel in 2022, and it’s been so rewarding to see all of the details we've been planning for several years finally come together.
We started planning the remodel for our own family home, but when Covid hit we decided to pursue a long-time dream of having a small farm (and space for homeschooling and working from home). We now live on a five-acre homestead not far away.
I'm here to answer any questions you have before and during your stay. We look forward to sharing this wonderful place with you and your loved ones!
