Welcome to this one of a kind jewel of the lowcountry. This small RV park of just two sites located at the Edisto River Lodge is the perfect stop for some peace and quiet on your journey. Each site comes with a private furnished screened Gazebo with TV, wifi, and refrigerator. Site 2 has a small soaking/ hot tub, we keep it around 97 in the summer and 103 in the winter. Sit around the fire on the Adirondack chairs while enjoying views of the pond our get some sun in the lounge chairs on the 1000 Sq.ft. private patio with privacy fence. *listings states studio with 1 bedroom but it's just a RV site and Airbnb won't allow us to change the setting.

A shared laundry room with half bath and outdoor shower complete the experience.
Each site has 30 amp, water and dump station. Roughly two acres are available for your use, horsehoe pits to the right of the entrance, fishing in the stocked pond is also allowed. Boat launch is a mile away called good hope landing. Only 10 Minutes to Givhans Ferry State Park for river tubing and the amazing Bee City Zoo.

Situated on a riverfront 4 acre property called the Edisto River Lodge, the house on the water is also available on AirBNB and sleeps 8. A second house on the property is under construction and will also be available spring 2024.

Just 20 minutes from I -95 (Walterboro) and an hours drive to downtown Charleston. The closest town is Cottageville just 8 minutes away and downtown Summerville is 25 minutes.

Pets are welcome but please keep them leashed and clean up after them.

Both sites are designed as pull in and back out for Class B and C Motorhomes under 32ft, Sprinter sized and van based chassis work best. Due to the properties sharp turn at the entance, only smaller sizes motorhomes under 32 ft are allowed. Small pull behind trailers under 28ft may be possible to back in but you would need to be an excellent backer upper. Site two is even more difficult to enter as there's a sharp right turn. if your rig is near the maximum size for our park you may need to rent site 1 if you can't maneuver it well.

Vehicles with roof top tents, teardrop style campers and tent camper/trailers are definitely welcome. trailers will need to be backed in.

Wifi works great!

Cell service for Verizon is spotty but T-mobile works great.

Toad or vehicles being towed are welcome but you will want to unhook before entering the property, it's a tight squeeze around the corner.

Diesel and gas is available at Cottageville express, and propane refills available at Mac's farm supply on 17a just past cottageville.

"Living in a van, down by the river"

Two RV sites share one bathroom, shower and laundry facility on site. You may roam the property, fish in the pond, stroll the 2 acre yard but the house on the river across the pond is off limits.

Other things to note
Although we are in the country we do have neighbors, quiet time is from 10pm till 7am.

The Edisto River is the longest un-dammed black water river in North America, a wild river with over 32 fish species, dozens of snake species and amazing bird watching. Keep your eye out for the local Swallow Tailed Kites, bald eagles and the always present sounds of the Barred Owls.

Although we are in a swampy forest, there are fewer mosquitoes than you would think, but it's a good idea to bring some bug spray.

Alligators and poisonous snakes are extremely rare to see, keep a look out nonetheless.

Neighborhood highlights

Located on a dead end of a small rural neighborhood on a dirt road.

This is a safe neighborhood but you may hear people hunting or target practice out in the distance. We are located across the river from a 1000 acre wildlife management area and the property next to us is another 1000 acres of forest.
