The Schoolhouse at Kintour is both comfortable and stylish and has been fully modernised to provide a unique holiday experience for up to 6 people.

The house is set in a tranquil location in the southeast corner of the island, overlooked by Islay's highest hill Beinn Bheigeir and near some beautiful beaches. The Schoolhouse is the perfect place for a peaceful stay.

The space
Making the most of the original features, Kintour Schoolhouse is unique and full of character. The careful mix of traditional and contemporary furnishings will allow you to relax and unwind in comfort and tranquillity.

The main living space has a raised gallery kitchen with all mod cons including a dishwasher and range cooker. The kitchen overlooks a sociable living and dining area, including a large dining table and chairs, comfortable armchairs and an open fireplace. In addition, there is a separate lounge area with sofas and a smart tv. There is plenty of indoor and outdoor space to be as quiet or sociable as you wish, so it’s a great place to share with another family or children.

The ground floor has a beautiful master bedroom with a king-size bed and en-suite bathroom. The upstairs provides two twin bedrooms with stunning views out to the sea and a fully equipped shower room situated between the bedrooms.

A large utility area leads out to the garden and provides the perfect space for storing wellies, outdoor clothing and even a dog's bed! With a washing machine and tumble dryer, there is no problem drying off from wet weather activities or a day at the beach. The garden includes a dining table and chairs and offers plenty of private space for bird and wildlife watching, playing family games or just sitting back to relax and enjoy the peaceful sights and sounds of nature all around you.

There are no public transport options available to the house, the final stop on the bus route is Ardbeg. Private parking for up to two vehicles is available within the grounds of the house.
