The Little Red Caboose with a view is located in the Columbia Gorge Scenic Area, on 7+ acres, just 20 miles east of Portland, OR. The caboose has its own shower, toilet and kitchenette, a queen bed in the main area & a double bed in the cupola. Attached is a private deck, with grill and a private campfire area next to the caboose.

The space
A completely renovated, authentic railroad caboose, on a short piece of railroad track, resting on 7+ acres in the Columbia River Gorge, with a scenic view.

Guest access
Complete and private use of the caboose, which has its own bathroom and kitchenette, as well as access to picnicking and campfire facilities behind the caboose, and a private deck off of the back of the caboose. Cell phone reception is very good at our hill top location and there is also Wi Fi available. The TV has a fire-stick which can access Amazon Prime, etc and there are DVDs available in the caboose, including proclaimed top 10 train movies. Laundry facilities in the main house can be made available upon request and advance notice.

Other things to note
Queen bed is on main level, but the double bed in the cupola requires climbing up a ladder. The bed in the cupola is a 4' wide, 7' long, with 2 layers of 4" thick foam mattress. The caboose is usually unavailable late November through Feb, due to winter conditions on Broughton's Bluff, where it is located.

Lives in Troutdale, Oregon
Phil & I met in 1981 while we were both working in the front office of the Portland Marriott, we still enjoy the art of hospitality. We bought our farm in 1985, where we raised our family. In 1995 we moved an old caboose to our property to restore for a guest house/Bnb. For the past 30 years we've both been tile contractors, creating custom tile showers, fire places, floors, etc.
