Explore the Iowa countryside with this 70's ranch as your relaxing base camp. Situated on 5 acres of rolling hills in rural Madison County, Iowa, this centrally located homestead has something for every kind of traveler. The charming town of Winterset is just minutes away, as well the historic Covered Bridges, wineries, breweries, parks and more. Located next to Speckled Hen Farms farm store and Lone Oaks Farm, you can take in an occasional music event or class!

The space
The Roost is 4 bedrooms, 2 full baths. The master bedroom is set up at 1 end of the house with it's own private en suite bathroom while the other 3 bedrooms are set up at the opposite end of the house and share a full bathroom. There's a brand new deck off the back of the house complete with a porch swing, chairs and gas grill. There's also a firepit out back with 4 Adirondack chairs surrounding it and 2 swing chairs. The front of the house has it's own covered deck with chairs and 2 hammocks out front next to the horseshoe pit. There is also a bags game provided.

Other things to note
We also offer some fun "add ons" if you are interested! ( please give me several days notice if you would like an add on farm basket). We akso have local pork and beef products available ( during the farm store season from Mid May- October). Please reach out if you are interested in any of those products and I will place them in the refrigerator your arrival. We also have a few Farm Basket add on options available: #1: Breakfast Basket: $35 includes 1 dozen farm fresh eggs, a bag of local custom roasted coffee from Pammel Park Coffee Company (* choose between The Roost Blend or the Speckled Hen Farms blend, local Breakfast sausage or bacon from Kaysen Family Farms and a loaf of my homemade artisan bread. * please give me a few days notice to make the bread😊#2 Pizza Basket: $25 #1 handmade farm fresh pizza dough and 1 jar of pizza sauce, 1 package of local Italian Sausage from Kaysen Family Farms ( choose sweet or hot). #3 Pasta Basket:$35 Includes 1 package Pasta ( different flavors available), 1 jar Pasta sauce, 1 package of local Kaysen Family Farms Italian Sausage (choose either sweet or hot) and 1 loaf if my homemade artisan bread ( please give me a few days notice for the bread)
