We loved this property from the second we walked into it. It was warm, bright, amazing views. If wished we were staying our whole trip there. Svanur was easy to get in touch with if needed. I highly recommend this place.

Svanur’s house is one of the most beautiful places we've ever stayed. It's modern, and beautifully designed - a real architect's house. The setting is breathtaking, with views of the waterfall in the distance, and the mountains all around. It has everything you could ever need, and is beautifully furnished. If you're looking for a peaceful break with a remarkable natural setting, combined with the best in modern design, this is the place for you. Svanur takes very good care of his guests too - much appreciated!

BEAUTIFUL! This home is in a central location for all the southside sights. We stayed here for 3 nights and it was the perfect secluded locations. It was nice being about to see the Westman Islands and a waterfall in the distance. The design and a furnishings are very modern. The place is equipped with everything you need. I would live there for months at a time. :) Svaur's communication was great and we were able to find the property without a hitch. We definitey recommend staying here when in south icealnd.

Svanur's house is amazing!!! I had an fabulous time in Reykjavik with all the pubs and wonderful places to eat but I had just as wonderful experience getting away from it all. It's a bit out of town a little bit from the main road as well but it is a place you definitely have to stay during your trip to south coast. If you visiting during the winter months then it is a must. The house was very comfortable, cozy, modern and had a wonderful kitchen area that was fully stocked to make cooking dinner a breeze. Since it's in the middle of farm land, there was absolutely no light pollution and we were able to experience the northern lights. Svanur's house definitely made the trip one that I will remember for a lifetime!

Modern, proper and very well equipped house in a spectacular environment. Nice views to the sea and the islands in the south and the glacier in the northeast of the house. Plan in advance, what you want to cook, while you are there. Good grocery stores are quite far away.

I live in Grimstad, town on the south coast of Norway with 15000 inhabitants. But I grew up outside of Reykjavik Iceland, in a small town called Álftanes, 2000 inhabitants at that time. I have been living in Norway for the past 20 years. I am married and we have two boys and one girl.
I am a landscape architect and I work for the engineering company Multiconsult witch is the second biggest engineering company in Norway.
I have a kayak and a boat which I use in the summertime. In wintertime I go cross-country-skiing or snowboarding. I have traveled quite a lot trough the years. One of the best places was Australia and India. The past years I have mostly traveled in Iceland, which is my favorite place. There are many things I like about this island: the open panorama landscape, the bright summer nights, the northern lights in the wintertime, the changing weather, and of course the people. Hospitality is one of the things that I regard highly. I really hope that our guests enjoy their stay and I will do what I can to make it so.
