Thank you for your feedback! I am sorry that your expectations differ from what we offer and especially sorry for your accident.
We use 100% of the income from airbnb rentals to gradually renovate this house. For example before the season started, we put on wi-fi, we fixed the 3 bedrooms, painting ceiling and floor, putting new mattresses, got 3 changes of new sheets per bed and new pillows, which you used to the max. Fixing the balcony is on this year's plan, but no one has ever used it in summer, since we have a spacious garden veranda, so it became a lesser priority. The deck chairs must have been broken by the previous guests as I had checked everything three weeks before you arrived. Just bought new ones and took away the broken ones, even though there were good quality chairs.
Most of the house pictures are indeed from the time when we finished some renovations 3-4 years ago, but what has mainly changed since then is that the garden plants and trees grew which in my view made the garden even more beautiful. There are extra chairs and stuff in the house because there are guest parties of 8 people sometimes and need to put them somewhere so they can use them. In any case in the summer all guests spend 90% of their time when awake, out, in the veranda and garden, not inside. Also the house was half painted outside just a month before your arrival and sprayed for bugs.
The house is "cluttered" in the kitchen with all kinds of cooking equipment so that you can enjoy cooking anything you want. If that is a problem, so be it, I am a food blogger and I think that it is only good to offer guests everything they might need.
This is a traditional Greek village house from 1876, decorated in an authentic way through the years by my parents and grandparents, and has a certain history. It offers rustic charm and character, as a place where real people live in with objects that mean something to them. It will never become a "clinical minimalist" rental space you find in "made-for-airbnb" rentals, all looking alike! This is not the experience we can or want to offer. Unfortunately we cannot manage everyone's expectations, hence I have put 80 + pictures to show as much as possible the real atmosphere we can offer. I have also sent a 20 pages manual with more pictures and details of how to use it, which should give a pretty clear understanding of what we offer. So for anyone reviewing this feedback, please check again all the information provided which is as accurate as we can possibly have, so you know what you should expect!
