Extra spacious

Guests love this home’s spaciousness for a comfortable stay.
Situated in a meadow, our charming + cozy 6m diameter bell tent is ready for your relaxing time away. Outfitted with a comfy queen bed and a fold-down futon, this spacious accommodation offers comfort + a unique experience. Spend time in nature on our 25-acre property or enjoy a plethora of local attractions, activities & restaurants. Sit by the fire, gaze at the stars, walk our trails or play games in our fields. Ask about our Horse Connection Experience.
Sheets + duvet provided.

The space
Our Bell tent (similar to a yurt) is off-grid and has exterior solar lighting for night time. There is also a rechargeable and portable lantern for you to use. We have a new Amish-built outhouse on site with hand wash area. We presently do not offer an outdoor shower but may in the future, many guests swim at one of the local beaches (5-15 min away) or bring their own camping shower. See more info about our Horse Connection Experience below!

The meadows and tranquil forest trails are also accessed by our Cozy Bunkie guests, limited camper guests, our family and are also used for our family trail rides.

Since our yurt/bell tent is off-grid, a little reminder that there is no water and no power inside. We DO provide your bedding, blankets and pillows. We recommend indoor slippers in the colder weather.

Horse lover? Check out our Connection with Horses experience to get up close and personal with horses on our homestead and have a unique experience. Reach out with questions. Boots/Closed toed footwear required - no sandals or open toes for the experience.

Horse owner? Want to enjoy our trails? We have overnight pasture or stall board available for those looking for a "bed and bale" option - BONUS the Copeland Forest is a short drive. Connect with us to arrange.

*HORSE CONNECTION EXPERIENCE*
Get up close and personal with horses on our homestead through a 30 minute guided experience. We will meet and greet the horses and learn a little about each of them. You’ll learn about herd dynamics, horse communication and body language as well as safety.

You will learn a simple breathwork technique to use with the horses to create connection. Guests can participate in grooming, petting, leading, giving the horses treats and of course, a photo op with these majestic beings.

There is no riding in this experience, just pure connection and bliss. You will learn how to read, understand and connect with these amazing animals.

The length of this experience may vary according to the group size.

Closed-toed shoes/boots required.

$25 per person via e-transfer prior to experience. Connect with us to arrange times.

We have generous bags of firewood on site for purchase but will set up your first fire complimentary as a thank you for booking with us.

Guest access
Although we are on a beautiful, peaceful 25 acre property, we have the added bonus of being close to restaurants, groceries stores (7-9 min drive), Tim Hortons (5 min) and many local attractions including Ski + Mountain Bike Hills (18 min), Vetta and Cavan Ridge Spas, Trails, Beaches (5 min to Bass Lake and 13 min to Orillia beaches). In the winter, we have amazing snowshoeing on site and are 20 min from Mount St. Louis and Horse Shoe Valley. We are super close to the snowmobile trails and ice fishing opportunities.
