About this listing
WARNING: THIS IS A GROUND FLOOR ROOM IN THE COUNTRY, SO THERE MAY BE …
… insects! [obviously not fleas or bed bugs!!!!]
This large room has a double bed, cooking corner, minibathroom, two windows looking on to apple trees and veg gardens and forest and afternoon sun, big double door in courtyard for morning sun. Size 5 x 5 m. Car essential (7 km from shops). The tiny hilltop village of Tonni is in the middle of a protected forest and was built in medieval times from local stone. NO TV, no radio, no internet.
In May 2016 I am looking for someone to water my vegetable garden for 5 days. 15 km from SIENA (Tuscany)
There is a shared space in front of your door - a sort of off street courtyard/garden. You can put chairs out for breakfast and to enjoy the morning sun. The neighbours are very nice and friendly. I live upstairs.
I will show you my garden on the other side of your room where you can go and sit privately. We don't have fences and you can wander without people wondering who you are or what you are doing.
Interaction with guests
I am almost always around.
Other things to note
Don' t come if insects freak you out. We have them in our houses too.
Be respectful to my neighbours (of course you will be!)
Don't have water heater and oven on at the same time or the relay will cut out. Be parsimonious with hot water. Please differentiate your rubbish. Please don't use strongly scented personal products. No smoking. No dogs.

I have a degree in Physics and work as a scientific translator, freelance, from Tonni by internet. I try to tread lightly on the Earth. I am interested in everything, but particularly in local economies, ideas for a better world, and protecting the earth and the environment, including the area where I have chosen to live. I am active in local and regional groups that seek to prevent speculative interests from ruining our beautiful landscape and our fertile soil. I grow my own vegetables and have a cat. Occasionally I do special offers for garden/cat minders. I like meeting people who enjoy the countryside and do not freak out on seeing a centipede.
