A cosy and comfortable studio apartment in a croft house in beautiful countryside at the edge of the village of Taynuilt in the Scottish Highlands. The house is set in an elevated position within 7 acres of croft land overlooking the village and enjoying outstanding views over Loch Etive and towards Ben Cruachan and Ben Starav.
The space
This is a beautiful studio apartment with an en-suite. It comprises a spacious living area incorporating a well equipped kitchen and dining area, a sitting area with outstanding views over the surrounding country side and a luxurious sleeping area.
Please note, our licence from the local authorities does not permit us to accommodate more than 2 guests in the studio, this included infants and children.
Guest access
The studio apartment is one of two apartments situated as an annex to our main house.
In addition to the cosy and relaxing studio, guests have access to an outside garden and patio area.
Parking is directly beside the studio. Bike storage is available if required.
There is also access to a fully equipped laundry room for guests to use. The utility room with 2 washing machines and dryer is shared between guests and owners and is accessible from the guests corridor!
Taynuilt is accessible by bus and train, however for exploring further afield we highly recommend having bikes or a car.
Directly accessible from the studio there is a variety of great walks for every level of fitness and enthusiasm. For those who are looking for a challenge, hiking the munros of Ben Cruachan and its neighbours is a truly awesome experience.
Other things to note
The village has a traditional grocery which can supply you with everything you might need for your stay in Taynuilt. However, the town of Oban is only a 20 minutes drive away. It provides bigger supermarkets and fantastic restaurants of all flavours. For those who enjoy seafood Oban is the "seafood capital of Britain" and we like to think that you will have the best seafood of your life. There are choices of all budgets, from amazing fish and chips to truly exquisite fine dining.
Oban is also the gateway to the isles and there are daily ferries to the inner and outer Hebrides. Daytrips to Mull, Lismore, Kerrera etc are not to be missed.
For the whisky connoisseurs Oban distillery will be the highlight of your visit, but please book well in advance.
Local golf courses welcome visitors of all standards. Taynuilt has its own popular 9 whole course with stunning views. Oban Glencruitten Golf club is the home course of world ranked golfer Robert McIntyre.

I live with my husband and labrador Toby in beautiful Argyll, and we love it.
We run a holiday house on Ardrhu Estate, Onich, between Fort William and Glencoe in the Highlands of Scotland and two studio apartments on our Croft in Taynuilt.
We worked for many years as biologists but are now running our holiday let business since January 2016.
