My wife and 4.5 month-old daughter stayed in the dome and it was exactly as amazing as it looks in the photos. We actually had a pretty rainy night while we stayed, but the sound of the rain on the roof was incredibly relaxing and we stayed incredibly dry. Robert kindly gave us recommendations for dinner, offered us breakfast, and even allowed us to take home a few vegetables from his organic farm. Robert said it was "like camping," but this is some next-level camping; we were welcome to use the kitchen and bathroom in the house about 50 yards from the dome. Great time.
I absolutely adored my time staying at the dome! Robert is a kind and gracious host, the dome is spacious and serene. I slept like a baby! It is quite big inside, there is a full bed and a full or queen sized floor futon if you need it, and there was still plenty of room for all of my stuff and my yoga mat, and then some. In fact, I left my mat unrolled all weekend! The dome feels almost like camping. But glamping. it has little lovley triangle windows at the top of the dome that let in gentle morning light to wake you, and it's literally in the woods! Trees in every direction. But then the house is right there, with a clean bathroom and shower and a well equipt kitchen and friendly people who are doing beautiful things in the world. Which leads me to the farm. You must check it out! I was lucky to be there in the middle of the summer, and Robert generously gave me a ton of freshly harvested organic produce to take home to the city. I left the weekend feeling rejuvenated and happy. I'll definitely be coming back to stay again.
Robert and crew were awesome. Traffic was hideous coming from the city so we ran way behind on our arrival time but Robert remained patient. The dome was nice; very rustic. It felt a little damp at times which made the sheets feel weird but no biggie. Very relaxing. Nice little hideaway. We left one night early but that was of no fault of Robert. He was even going to surprise us with his famous pancakes the next morning. Maybe next time. Thank you.
Easy communication with Robert, and the dome is an experience not to be missed. Even when a summer heatwave hit on Connecticut, the dome was still cool in the summernight. It was a nice experience, and it was fun talking to Robert. He made feel at home right away, and we loved to learn more about his organic farming. He even was so kind to show us around. We recommend!
Robert was a very gracious host and so welcoming! Always willing to offer suggestions and open to assistance. Would definitely recommend
We had a great time in the dome! Our son staid with us in his travel cod and it was super cosy and special to be out in nature like that. Rob was a great host: we cooked food from his farm and on Sunday he even baked pancakes for us! We also did a tour of his farm which is a few miles away. Great experience over all!
I loved this dome! Robert was an excellent host and made my friends and I feel very welcome. The dome itself was actually much roomier on the inside that I had originally thought, everything is described very accurately in the listing. Its a great balance of being able to unplug but also has amenities such as outlets and kitchen use in the house. We really enjoyed the fire pit and everything was in good proximity of each other. Definitely recommend for those looking to get into the woods but still be near other establishments.
