South Grove Charmer on corner of Plaza and Loquat. One block from Plymouth Church and a short walk to the Village.
Unique Board and Batten Cottage that will take you back to the days of Old Cocoanut Grove. The property is enclosed with a six foot stone wall to ensure your privacy. A keystone patio with palms and flowers complete your tropical paradise. Our tree lined streets make for a short walk into the Grove for restaurants, shoppes, art galleries, and parks on the Bay. The peacocks often come to visit, and when the smell of jasmine fills the air, the setting is complete.
Rent a couple of bikes, and enjoy the bike path that runs north and south along the bay. Beaches lie to the north, the closest being Key Biscayne. To the south is beautiful Matheson Hammock Park, with swimming area and marina. Next to that is Fairchild Tropical Gardens, a world-class botanical garden. There are nice day trips to the Everglades if you have a car. The Keys are an hour away, with Key West 150 miles. Disney is 3 to 4 hours to the north. University of Miami parents love the location for visits. This is a quiet area of the Grove, providing a picturesque location to relax after a fun-filled day.
Interaction with Guests
I give as much privacy as you want.
Lush tropical quiet streets with flowers and peacocks.
Bus 1 block away. Quick access to Metro
No Spring Breakers. This is a quiet neighborhood. No late night parties. No smoking inside.
Loved my stay at Michelle's Coconut Grove cottage. Michelle was a great host. She is correct it is a bit confusing navigating around the narrow dark streets of the Grove. Michelle made me feel very welcome by meeting me in front when I arrived. Felt very much at home loved the fact that I could walk to the downtown area. Plus Michelle gave me great tips of activities in the area including a walking tour and a local contra dance group. I had a lot of fun hanging out in the Grove.
Tucked away in the safe and cozy neighborhood of richly forested Coconut Grove, only a few minutes walk to shops and restaurants (I highly recommend dinner at Sapore di Mare!), quiet, and 100% private... this quaint yet spacious cottage was exactly what my friend and I were looking for in a place to stay during our Miami vacation. Not too fancy, just the perfect feeling of being in a clean and comfortable, lived in home.
The location is wonderful. We rented a car and could get to the beaches of Key Biscayne for that waterfront tropical-awesomeness we wanted, into downtown easily for that urban Miami experience, or even hop over to Miami Beach for a walk around, all within 15-30min max, even with traffic.
Everything we needed was available to us either in the cottage or via a quick message to the hosts, Michelle and Josh. They'd respond promptly with whatever they could to be helpful. There were plenty of spices and other cooking items already in the cabinets, as well as pretty much anything you'd need to cook a meal at "home", as we called it during our stay. Of course you'll have to buy your own food at the local supermarkets, but no need to buy cooking oils, salt, spices, etc. That made it oh so easy and all the more home like.
I would definitely stay here again.

A great little cottage a short distance from Coconut Grove, plenty of space, parking and good facilities. Everything was set for our arrival including fresh fruit and orange juice! I would recommend staying here!
I enjoyed being at Michelle's cottage, very peaceful and beautiful area. Everything worked for me.
This was a beautiful cottage! 3 of us stayed for a wedding weekend and had a wonderful time. Very gracious and accommodating hosts! We would definitely stay here again.
