An amazing experience, Zakopane is an amazing place in itself with its beauty and culture. When we opened the door to the house I gasped, I had no idea we were staying at an historical enchanted polish home. The home was built for a wealthy woman by Gorals in the Zakopane style. We arrived by bus from Krakow, knowing very little Polish, (I wrote everything on index cards in Polish to get around). We had a nice walk to the Kasprowy cable car to see the majesty of the Tatras, along the way we walked through the old historical mining town. Bring a jacket when you go up the mountain, it gets considerably colder. Overall Greg was great, he speaks excellent English. Check in was a breeze. Make sure you email him with your direct email. The home was comfy charming clean and rustic.

Response from Greg:
We're very happy you recognize beauty of Zakopane and Tatra Mountains and enjoy your stay in St. Stanislaw House. We value your thoughts how to make easy for our guests to move around. It will take time to make instructions in English since we are in season right now. AirBnB caught us by surprise eliminating clients email option. We were sending links, directions, maps, now we can not do it, unless guests are providing direct emails before they get here so they have time to get organize. Great point about jackets, it is much cooler 6000 feet up. Hope to see you again and for longer. Thanks

Very nice place! St Stanislaw House had a very quaint, homey mountain cottage feel with a beautiful view. It is in a great location as well - very convenient for buses and for getting into Tatras National Park. Would stay here again for sure!

We were in zakopane between march 5 and 7th 2016. Initially I booked only for 3 through airbnb.Later the headcount increased to 7 at the last moment.Greg was very kind enough and cooperative in arranging accommodation for all of us.He handles everything remotely just over call. How many times you call him he answers with patience. He was visiting us everyday during out stay providing us the exact guidelines as to what to do and what not.The house has a very spacious kitchen with all you need to cook.Utensils are plenty with a huge stove. He also has snooker board to entertain groups.Bed was clean and tidy with spacious wardrobes. I have 2 concerns to address here 1.The flush in room 4 was not proper. 2.Strength of the WiFi was very poor.Since we are from Poland it was very easy for us to use our own internet services. This will not be the same if people are from outside Poland. The strength has to be definitely improved.Apart from these 2 I don have anything to buck (URL HIDDEN) awesome place and will book the same when I make a summer visit of zakopane

My husband and daughter stayed two days in Greg's house. Everything was ok and as agreed, even they did not get to meet Greg. Correspondence with the owner was fast and easy. He is friendly and cooperative, so to say. No complains.

The room is big and comfortable for three people. Wifi is good. Transportation is not so difficult since there're many buses pass by. But need to pay attention to the timetable. Many hiking routes and places to go are suggested by the host.
