Studio apartment with bathroom and full kitchen in a quiet and safe neighborhood on the central coast. Wonderful hiking and ocean views just a short walk away. Morro Bay Rock and Estuary, Montana De Oro State Park and beaches a leisurely 5-10 minute drive. Enjoy a day driving up the coast seeing the elephant seals and the historic Hearst Castle in beautiful San Simeon.
Your accommodations are a detached studio from the main house on a beautiful acre set away from the street with your own private parking. I want to emphasize that the living areas are quite small and compact so someone with a larger stature is not disappointed with the accommodations, but besides that, the studio should have everything you need. It's very clean, light and open. The neighborhood is extremely quiet and safe and your studio will be a very private getaway.
We are a 15-20 minute drive to San Luis Obispo; a very fun college town with plenty of night life and an adorable downtown shopping area. We have some very nice wineries in the area and you can spend the afternoon tasting if you'd like. My place is off the beaten path, so although there is a bus stop about a mile away, you will most likely need your vehicle to get to most places conveniently. :)
We have one overly friendly dog named Kylee that tends to get excited around strangers. She will be hanging out in a different area of the yard and in my home during your stay and should not interrupt your visit and "R & R".
To make sure I am respectful of all future guests, I have a very strict policy about smoking inside the studio. Thank you ahead time for your consideration and for being respectful of this request. The neighborhood is very quiet so no loud parties or guests. I would really like to see a profile picture, a few words about yourself and the purpose of your trip before I can accept a booking, Thank you very much for understanding and I look forward to meeting you!
Guest will have access to the cottage area and parking described in the Airbnb listing.
Interaction with Guests
My only interaction with guests is a brief hello during your stay just to introduce myself. Otherwise, unless there is a problem, I will give you your complete privacy as I am a private person myself. For those of you only staying briefly, it is possible that I may not see you at all being that we may be on different schedules. :)
There is a bus stop about a mile away -- but public transportation is minimal. In our little town, it is best to have a vehicle to get around.
Just a reminder, I do have a 2 person maximum, this includes children and infants. I'm not kidding when I say "cozy cottage". Thanks! :)
This is my family home so please be respectful of my family's privacy. I am available by cell phone to answer any questions and to make sure your stay is perfect. If you need anything, just give me a call and I will do everything I can to accommodate you. The studio has most items (similar to a hotel stay). I do provide basic kitchen items, it's not gourmet, but should do the trick (Coffee, tea, sugar, salt and pepper are also there). I have a few other items (toiletries, dish soap, etc.), but not a lot. I have found that everyone has their own favorites so it's hard to know what to provide. Basically what's there you're welcome to, but may not be enough for a stay of more than a few days.
Again, no smoking, no pets and no laundry facilities - there is a laundromat about a mile a way. Please try to keep reasonably quiet out of respect for my wonderful neighbors. Please have a safe drive to the central coast and thanks again for booking with me!
Kymm was a gracious host by providing snacks and drinks. The cozy cottage was adorable! The bed, towels, and linens were very nice. I wish that we would've had more time to stay and enjoy Los Osos. Thanks for the winery suggestion, Bridlewood was gorgeous. It was very helpful to be in contact with the host.
Kymm was the perfect host. We arrived around 4p and the cottage was perfectly appointed, cozy, and quiet. Oh...and sooo clean! We can't say enough good things about it. We only got to stay one night but will definitely be back to check out the area and its beautiful beaches and hiking...we wouldn't think to stay anywhere else.
Kymm's cottage should be the standard across all AirBnBs. Incredibly clean, cozy, and full of those little amenities that make a space special. My girlfriend and I were unbelievably pleased, not only with the accommodations, but also with the hospitality. Book Kymm, you will not be disappointed!
Kymm's cottage is a perfectly designed retreat for two. It is apparent that a lot of thought went into the convenience and efficiency of this space. The cottage is located on a larger residential property, but feels very private. Kymm's neighborhood is peaceful and lovely. We look forward to coming back.
This place is being undersold in the description! yes, it is small, but for two people it is perfect (as long as you like the other person). The cottage itself is incredibly clean and every detail is attended to. I'm sure you'll be pleasantly surprised!
We stayed at Kymm's lovely cottage for the weekend while visiting a friend in Pismo beach as well as taking a tour of Hearst castle. It was the perfect spot for me and my girlfriend in a great neighborhood close to Morro bay. Definitely cozy with all the amenities you could think of. Kymm even came by to say hi and help us when we had a problem with the cable. Thanks again!!
Great stay! The space is small but so well designed with every detail considered: full kitchen, luggage racks, extra towels, even welcome snacks in the fridge. It's tastefully decorated and easy to find. Quiet neighborhood very close to Montana de Oro. The only downside was a loud gardener incident on Monday morning and the fridge occasionally cycling loudly, but Kymm has earplugs in the bathroom and the option to turn the fridge off. We would recommend it to anyone.
I am currently living in Los Osos, California which is located on the central coast. I have lived there for 20 years but I am previously from San Diego. I work for a financial planning firm and I spend a lot of time with my children who are young adults now. When I am not hanging out with them I like to read, garden and travel to new places every chance I get. I really enjoy meeting new people and is why I enjoy the airbnb experience. That's pretty much all I'm up to right now. Oh, also, I'm a non-smoker, quiet but friendly, and I love a nice glass of wine with friends now and again! Cheers! :)
